Relationship Vocabulary Quiz

People respect intelligence. The power of words to demonstrate intelligence is remarkable. A large vocabulary can help you present a smart image, and can, of course, improve your language skills along the way. The wrong word can make you sound foolish; the correct one can make a complex thought crystal clear. People communicate primarily through words, and the more you know, the better you can communicate! A comprehensive vocabulary is a valuable asset to have.

When you can speak knowledgably, when you are able to deftly pluck the right word out of the air to precisely describe your meaning, others will find your conversation intriguing and engaging.

The good news is that it’s not that difficult to expand your word base! You may already have an extensive range of words, but how to use them and when? You need to practice. Learning new words and their context is imperative to using elegant words effectively.

There are tens of thousands of rarely used words in the English language, but in our selection of challenging vocabulary games we’ve carefully selected some of the more interesting and useful ones to help you create a powerful, persuasive vocabulary. Choose any game below to get started!

1. Overview

When you prepare for the TOEFL test, building vocabulary is a hard job. You have to repeat similar or even the same things day by day to impress unfamiliar words in memory.

An interactive word quiz sheet may help you go easier and quicker. Every student has experience with single-choice questions. Select one answer from multiple options is a widespread format in many subjects’ test papers, not limited to English. You undoubtedly did it before.

Now what you see is a little different, the single choice quiz for TOEFL word is based on the Internet and shown as a web page. It produces dynamically and corrects answers automatically.

TOEFL Single Choice Word Quizzes is offered as an open online resource to free practice for all TOEFL test takers. (But only VIP users can list all words of a group.)

TOEFL vocabulary building is a job of repeated study and review. A smart single-choice quiz sheet with cutting-edge technology will improve your efficiency and productivity in TOEFL vocabulary building.

2. TOEFL Vocabulary Quizzes By Groups

Single choice word quiz is a common feature attached to all TOEFL word lists of the website. On every group page, you can see a Match button, which launches a single choice quiz sheet for the current group: either ten random words per sheet or a full sheet including all words of the group. (The latter is only for VIP accounts.)

It is a straightforward exercise: the options are candidate definitions, select the right one to match with the word, that’s all. This practice is an effective way to review known words. If a word list is too hard or says, there are too many words you have to guess, this practice isn’t proper for you, and you had better choose an easy list to start.

At first, you may try the simplest list: TOEFL Writing Vocabulary.

  • Questions: TOEFL Writing Vocabulary — 1

If your vocabulary is relatively strong and is working to have a good score in the future TOEFL test, you can challenge a full-size word list, e.g., 5000 TOEFL Vocabulary List. The list consists of 16 groups. We show links to the first two groups here.

  • Questions: 5000 TOEFL Vocabulary List 1
  • Questions: 5000 TOEFL Vocabulary List 2

Each TOEFL vocabulary quiz sheet has a set of 10 random words to practice. Besides, it offers two buttons: Refresh the sheet to get another quiz set; Make quizzes for all words of the current group.

We present all quiz links of 4 available TOEFL vocabularies; each group has a separate start point.
