Campus Improvement Projects
Project: Emergency Generators Project
Evaluated Cost: $75,000 CAD
Word of Life Canada proposes to purchase an emergency back up diesel generator (125KW) for use at our Word of Life Bible Institute and Youth Camp in Owen Sound, Ontario at an installed cost of approximately $75,000. This back up generator will provide emergency electric power during power outages.
Our property is located in the “snow belt” region of northern Grey County, Ontario, where we experience frequent ice and snowstorms. We frequently have 160 plus campers, students and staff on our campus. Emergency power is needed for heating, water and sewer systems, cooking and lighting during a power outage. This generator will help us be more responsible and effective, as we evangelize and disciple Canadian youth for the glory of Christ.
To continue to be effective in this mission we need to be able to provide reasonable care for all individuals on our property during an emergency power failure. It is important for the parents of students and campers to know that their young person will be well cared for during such an emergency. Your generous financial investment into this project will help Word of Life effectively enable true biblical life change in many young Canadians, to the glory of Christ.

Project: Extension Rooms
Cost: $6,000
Every year our ministry struggles to meet accommodation needs for guests- whether it be the parents of a student, an alumnus passing through town, or a place to accommodate volunteers. Therefore, we are seeking God’s provision that will allow us to renovate our current “Extension Rooms” to be adequate and updated accommodations that will properly meet these demands. We will need to purchase drywall, paint, new bathroom counter tops, sinks, and furniture.

Project: Gym Flooring
Cost: $8,000
For over 40 years the gym on our property has seen many roller-skating rallies, messages, sporting tournaments, winter and summer camps and music functions all year round. Our floor has held up well, but we want to be diligent in seeing it reach another 40 years.

Project: Uganda Pastors Project
Pastors in rural Uganda are grossly under supplied for the ministry they are called to. This project is established to raise funds for training and equipping these pastors and church planters through purchasing machines and tools for ministry such as computers and video equipment and screens, or setting up a scholarship fund for needy pastors and church planters to attend quality education institutions where they can learn the Word of God to be able to reach the people of Uganda.

We offer a fully accredited biblical studies program. Not only do we want you to know the Word of God, but we want you to apply it and have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Bible School prepares young adults to share their faith and take stand firm for the Lord wherever they may be.
Word of Life kids camp and teen camp programs uniquely combine the elements of adventure, intensity, friendship, and Christian instruction making them a favourite with young people and families. At Word of Life, children and teens hear the Gospel in our camps, many for the first time.
