Цель урока-игры: организовать деятельность
обучающихся для закрепления изученного материала по теме «Лондон».

Задачи:

-образовательные:
тренировка умений и навыков аудирования, монологической речи; совершенствование
лексических навыков; способствование росту мотивации обучающихся в обучении
английскому языку; способствование  развитию умения создания презентаций по
теме «Лондон»;

-развивающие: развитие зрительной
памяти, мышления;

-воспитательные: формирование умения
сотрудничать в группе и команде, воспитание ответственности за будущий
результат; уважительное отношение к реалиям страны изучаемого языка.

 Оборудование: карточки со словами,
интерактивная доска, компьютер, проекто

                                 
Структура и ход урока.

1.Организационный момент
(задача организационного момента: подготовить обучающихся к активному участию в
уроке, ввести их в атмосферу иностранного языка)

-Good morning, my dear friends! I’m
glad to see you. (We are glad to see you too). (Учитель приветствует детей,
сообщает обучающимся цель урока. Обучающиеся делятся на две команды по 6
человек).

— Today we’ll take part in the game
“Welcome to London!” We have two teams. I hope you know how to play this game.
You will have different stations and different tasks. If the members of the
team do the task better they will have a counter (жетон). At  the end of the game the teams will count their
counters and we’ll find out who is the winner. (Учитель привлекает внимание детей
к станциям и напоминает правила игры. Команда, выполнившая задание лучше и
быстрее, получает жетон. Выигрывает команда, которая получила больше жетонов).

Listen to some stories about the places of interest of the capital of Great Britain. (Каждая
команда заслушивает рассказы другой команды и называет достопримечательности
Лондона. Каждая команда зачитывает по три рассказа). (цель: развитие внимания,
умение слушать собеседника)

1).It is one of the most famous
museums in London. It’s the famous waxworks museum. At this museum there is a
special place for the Queen’s family. You can see the Queen, her husband, their
children and other members of the Royal family. (Madame Tussaud’s Museum).

2).It is a wonderful building. It
was a fortress, a palace, a prison and King’s Zoo. Now it is a museum. (the Tower
of London)

3).It is one of the most famous
churches in London. King Edward built this church in 1065. The coronation of
all British kings and Queens took place there. (Westminster Abbey).

4).They are nice and big buildings
with towers. The country’s leaders and the members of the British Parliament
work in these buildings. The large clock in one of the towers is Big ben. (the
Houses of Parliament)

5).Londoners love their parks and
are proud of them. This park is famous for its outdoor entertainments and its
Speaker’s Corner. (Hyde Park)

6).It is a famous bell and clock.
Londoners hear it every hour. It is located on one of the towers of the Houses

Подготовительная работа

За несколько дней до игры учащимся объявляется
тема игры. Организуются две команды. Заранее
подготовлены карточки с названиями
достопримечательностей Лондона. Отдельно
разложены карточки с названиями парков, дворцов,
музеев, улиц. Капитаны команд по очереди
вытягивают перевернутые карточки. Члены разных
команды не должны знать, какие
достопримечательности достались другой команде.
К назначенному дню учащиеся собирают материал о
достопримечательностях Лондона, собирают
фотографии, делают презентацию. В одном из
заданий нужно показать фрагменты фотографий. Они
тоже включаются в презентацию. Каждая команда
готовит выступление – экскурсию для капитана
команды по местам, доставшимся по жребию. Команды
придумывают названия. Кроме того, учащиеся
стараются узнать как можно больше о Лондоне,
знаменитых людях, живших и живущих в Лондоне, о
событиях, происходивших в Лондоне.

Цели мероприятия: развитие навыков
монологической и диалогической речи, изучение
достопримечательностей Лондона, ознакомление с
их историческими фактами, развитие навыков
аудирования, чтения, говорения.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска,
аудиозапись.

Участники: 2 команды, ведущий (учитель
или ученик), жюри.

ХОД ИГРЫ

1. Организационный момент

– Good morning, boys and girls! As you know, the theme of our  game is
“London, the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”.
London is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It has a lot of interesting
historical and modern places to visit.

– We have two teams: (называются команды)
– The captains of the teams are: (представляются капитаны)

Воспроизведение аудиозаписи припева и
первого куплета песни “Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner”

2. Начало игры

Задание 1.

– Let’s see what you know about London. I’ll give you two sheets of paper.
Please, write down as many facts or words connected with London as you can.

Учитель раздаёт каждой команде по листу
бумаги, на котором команды записывают названия
достопримечательностей  Лондона, имена
политических деятелей и других знаменитых людей,
чья деятельность связана с Лондоном. Затем
каждая команда зачитывает свой список.

– Well, now, please, take turns in reading your list.

T-1 – Buckingham Palace

T-2 – …
Команды по очереди называют знакомые им
названия достопримечательностей Лондона.

Задание 2

Капитан каждой команды проводит экскурсию по
Лондону (места, о которых рассказывают учащиеся,
оговорены заранее). Учащиеся другой команды,
играя роль туристов, задают гиду вопросы (вопросы
придумываются по ходу «экскурсии»). Если капитан
команды не может ответить на вопросы, ему
помогает команда. Затем то же проводится со
второй командой.

– Hello. I’m your guide. My name is…I’ll show you around London today. There
are a lot of places of interest in London. Among them there are: Westminster Abbey, the
Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, London Bridge, the Tower
of London.
London stands on the river Thames. Crossing the river by the Tower Bridge you can see the
Tower of London. It is one of the oldest buildings of the city. Many centuries ago it was
a fortress, a royal palace and then a prison. Now it is a museum of arms.
On the bank of the Thames, not far from the Tower of London, you can see Westminster
Palace, or the Houses of Parliament. It is the seat of the British government and it is
one of the most beautiful buildings in London. In one of its towers there is famous Big
Ben, the largest clock of England. It strikes every quarter of an hour.
Buckingham Palace is the Queen’s official London residence. Tourists always go to see
the ceremony of changing the Guard there.
London has many fine squares. Some of them are quiet, others are busy like Trafalgar
Square. Trafalgar Square is the central square of the city. To the right of the square
there is the National Gallery which has a fine collection of European paintings.
St Paul’s Cathedral is the biggest English church. Another famous church is Westminster
Abbey where kings, queens, and many famous people are buried.
London is also famous for its beautiful parks. Hyde Park is the most democratic park in
the world, as anyone can say anything he likes there. Regent’s Park is the home of
London Zoo.

Good afternoon, dear friends! My name is… and I am your guide. Today we are going to
visit some interesting places in London. London is a popular centre for tourism. London
attracts over 14 million international visitors per year, making it Europe’s most visited
city. The ten most-visited attractions in London are:

the Whispering Gallery
the Science Museum
the Victoria and Albert Museum
the Madame Tussauds Museum
the National Maritime Museum
the Tower of London

В презентации названия
достопримечательностей сделаны гиперссылками.
При открытии появляется текст о той или иной
достопримечательности. При проведении экскурсии
учащиеся текстом не пользуются. Используются
только фотографии достопримечательностей. При
оценивании данного задания жюри учитывает
содержание, грамотность речи, эмоциональность
говорящего, произношение.

Задание 3

Teacher: Well, I am glad that you know so much about the places of
interest in London. And I offer you to continue our game with the task “Guess what it
is”.

Первая команда показывает на интерактивной
доске части зданий, улиц. Учащиеся второй команды
стараются узнать названия тех зданий и улиц,
которые были продемонстрированы. Затем команды
меняются. Обе команды показывают одинаковое
количество снимков. Выигрывает команда, узнавшая
большее количество фрагментов.

Задание 4.

– Now let’s listen to the dialogue between tourists.

Учащимся предлагается составить диалог.
Каждая команда выставляет по одному
представителю. Ранее команды не знали о таком
задании.  «Туристы» из разных команд обсуждают
достопримечательности Лондона, делятся своими
впечатлениями после знакомства с
достопримечательностями. Так же как в оценивании
конкурса «экскурсоводов» жюри учитывает
содержание, грамотность речи, эмоциональность
говорящего, произношение.

Задание 5.

Teacher: I want you to answer my questions on the topic “London”.

Отвечает тот игрок, который первый поднял
руку.

1. How many people live in London? (More than seven million.)
2. What is the oldest part of London? (The oldest part of London is the City.)
3. What is the political centre of London? (The political centre of London is
Westminster.)
4. How many bridges are there over the Thames in London? (There are 27 bridges.)

Задание 6.

Детям предлагается вспомнить другие им
известные достопримечательности города и
рассказать о них. Поощряются наиболее активные
дети.

3. Завершающий этап

– I hope you have enjoyed our game! I am very pleased with your work. But which team
knows more about London? Who is the winner?

Подводятся итоги игры.
Звучит музыка, дети выходят из аудитории.

Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку

Игра « Лондон»

Форма проведения: лингвистическая игра.

1. Цели: обобщение изученного материала по теме «Лондон»; развитие аудитивных, грамматических и лексических навыков; развитие интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка.
2. Задачи работы: в ходе игры проверяется уровень усвоения материала по теме, а также уровень сформированности лексико-грамматических навыков и умений учащихся по изученным темам.

Учащимся предлагаются следующие задания:

1. Прослушать небольшие рассказы о достопримечательностях Лондона на английском языке. Догадаться о какой из них идет речь.
2. Ответить на вопросы о Лондоне.
3. Составить слова из данных букв.
4. Составить предложения из данных слов по теме «Лондон».
5. Дать формы неправильных глаголов.
6. Использовать определенный артикль, где это необходимо.
7. Подписать на карте Лондона названия достопримечательностей.
8. Рассказать об одной из достопримечательностей Лондона.

5. Оборудование: компьютер, , интерактивная доска, презентация в Microsoft Power Point, раздаточный материал, 10 кубиков (на каждой грани кубика написаны английские буквы), таблички  с номерами от 1 до 6 по количеству участников, бумажные звёзды, 2 карты Лондона.

6.   Участники игры: 8 учащихся шестого  класса.

7.   Формы оценивания работы: за каждый правильный ответ учащиеся получают 1 балл. Учащийся, набравший наибольшее количество баллов, становится победителем.

Ход проведения мероприятия.

Учитель: Hello, boys and girls. I am glad to see you. I hope you are well.

Today we are going to play a game.  It’ll be a game about London. I’m sure that you know a lot about the places of interest of London.

But first let me introduce our judges: ( учителя английского языка).

Our participants are: (8 учащихся  6 б класса).

And all the others will support the players.

The rules of the game are following: I’ll give you different tasks. For right answers you’ll get stars. That who’ll get more stars will be the winner. After every tour one player will leave the game.

Let’s start.

TASK 1:

Учитель: I’ll describe you a place of interest of London. All of them are presented on the board. You must show me the number of this place. (см. презентация слайд 2)

Учитель зачитывает небольшие рассказы — описание различных достопримечательностей. На доске вывешены картинки с достопримечательностями, каждой из которых присваивается определенный номер. Ученик, прослушав рассказ, поднимает табличку с номером. Если ответ ученика правильный, то он получает звездочку. По окончании первого тура ученик, у которого оказалось меньше звездочек, выбывает из игры.

Картинки на доске:

Примерные рассказы:

1. There are many old and new beautiful parks in London. This park is the largest one. It is one of the most popular places of Londoners during the hot summer days. The park is famous for its Speaker’s corner. (Hyde Park)

2. It is a wonderful building. The Queen Victoria Memorial is situated in front of it. It takes you ten minutes to get from this building to Trafalgar Square, which is the center of London. The Queen of Great Britain lives there. (Buckingham Palace)

3. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. Now it is a museum. You can see a lot of interesting things in the halls of this building. William the Conqueror built it in the 11-th century/ Twelve black ravens live in it. People believe that London will be rich while the ravens live there. (the White Tower)

4. It is one of the greatest English churches. It is not far from the Tower of London. The famous English architect Sir Christopher Wren built it in the 17-th century after the Great Fire. It is a fine building with many columns and towers. In one of the towers there is one of the largest bells in the world. (St. Paul’s Cathedral)

5. It is more than 900 years old. There are many monuments and statues there, many English Kings and queens are buried there. It is famous for the Poet’s corner. It is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in London. This church has two tall towers. (Westminster Abbey)

6. It is a long grey building with towers. The large clock in one of the towers is known as Big Ben. You can hear the sound of Big Ben every hour in London. The clock and the bell got their names after Sir Benjamin Hall. The members of the British Parliament work in this building. (the Houses of Parliament)

TASK 2:

Учитель:Answer the questions about London. Those who know the answer raise your hand.

TASK 3:

Учитель: Make up the words using the following letters. You’ll get a star for a longest word and for the biggest quantity of words. You have two minutes.

Учащимся предлагается следующее задание: составить длинное слово из букв на кубиках. Для того, чтобы определить какие буквы учащиеся могут использовать, учитель рассыпает кубики. Для составления слова участники игры могут использовать буквы, которые расположены на верхних гранях кубиков. Обладатель самого длинного слова получает звезду. Обладатель самого короткого слова выбывает из игры.

TASK 4:

Учитель: There are some words on the board. Make up as many sentences as you can on the topic London. You have 4 minutes. (см. Презентация слайд 3-4)

Слова на доске: Monument, square, place, capital, queen, bridge, build, tall.

Учащиеся по окончании работы сдают свои листочки на проверку жюри. При оценивании работы учитывается количество предложений, использование различных речевых структур и грамматическая правильность предложений. Ученики — победители данного тура — награждаются звездами. Учащиеся, составившие меньшее количество предложений, выбывают из игры.

TASK 5:

Учитель: Let’s revise irregular verbs. Those who know answers, raise your hands. (см. презентация слайды 5-15)

На доске появляются неправильные глаголы в начальной форме. Ученики должны дать 3 формы с переводом. За каждый правильный вариант ответа, ученики получают звезду. Ученик с наименьшим количеством звезд выбывает из игры.

TASK 6:

Учитель: Now you’ll have the task on the card. Use the definite article where it’s necessary. You have two minutes. (см. приложение)

По окончании задания работы проверяются членами жюри. Ученик, допустивший большее количество ошибок, выбывает из игры.

FINAL

Учитель: In a final game the players will have two tasks.

TASK 1:

Учитель: You’ll get the maps of London with its places of interest. But there are only pictures on them without names. Write their names. (см. папку «Задания на финал»)

По окончании задания работы проверяются членами жюри. Карта Лондона с достопримечательностями и их названиями появляется на доске. (см. презентация слайд 16)

TASK 2:

Учитель: Speak about any places of interest of London.

Учащиеся делают сообщения об одной из достопримечательностей Лондона, приготовленные заранее.

Задачи игры:

Команда проходит все станции поочередно согласно маршруту проложенному на карте.

На 5 станциях ребят ждут разнообразные конкурсы и викторины, кто быстрее выполнит все задания правильно и соберет все фунты, получает сладкий приз.

За правильные ответы команда получает «золотой фунт», а за неправильные ответы команда получает «чёрную метку». Прохождение каждого этапа даёт возможность перейти к следующему этапу.

Участники квеста: 

2 команды по 6 — 7 игроков в каждой.

Названия командам даны в соответствии с названиями англоязычных стран — “British”, “Americans”,

Место проведения квеста:

учебные классы

Длительность проведения игры — квеста: 40-50 мин

Подведение итогов:

По итогам квеста определяется победитель. Участники команды, занявшие призовые места, награждаются сертификатами победителей, остальные команды награждаются сертификатами участников. Все участники получают«сладкие» призы.

Сценарий  квеста:

Игра-квест начинается с жеребьевки. Участники поочередно вытягивают жребий с названием команды — “British”, “Americans”.

Распределившись на команды, участники выбирают капитанов.

Капитаны команд получают маршрутные листы (карту) с указанием названий станций. Затем все участники квеста одновременно выполняют задания по различным станциям:

However, it was Queen Victoria who was the first British monarch to use the palace as their official residence when she moved there in 1837. Since then the palace has served as the official London residence of Britain’s sovereigns, and today it is the administrative headquarters of the monarch.
