I’m trying to word the sentence below. Here are all the ways I can think of. What is the difference between them? I think that some of them have positive connotations and others have negative connotations. In my sentence, obviously, the connotations are supposed to be negative. Anyway, which option should I use and why?

We’re taking a big risk here. Ι promised Person A that Person B has got the money. However, it is likely that Person B hasn’t got the money yet.

We’re taking a big risk here. Ι promised Person A that Person B has got the money. However, it is possible that Person B hasn’t got the money yet.

Which option(s) do you think is/are correct? Have you checked the definitions of «likely» and «possible» in a dictionary?

Ok well number 3 is wrong. The other three are all possible depending on what you want to say.

    (sorry Florantia, cross posted)

Likely and possible seem to have neutral connotations. There is a good chance is positive, I think. I’m not sure about probably.

I looked at those threads, but none of them seems to really explain the difference.

The terms are all vague, so they can’t be precisely ordered like a set of numbers.
A good chance is more specific and higher in % than just a chance. Likely and probably are similar ranges (often above ~50%) and possibly is usually associated with lower numbers.

Probably and likely are indicative of more likelihood than possibly as Julian S said.
You can’t say «probably that» although you can say «it is probable that.»

Sorry, that was a typo. I meant, «Probably, Person B hasn’t got…» Is that correct?

In the meantime, I found as likely as not. What % is that?

    likely as not
    Probably; most likely.
During lunch, you’ll find Mrs. Smith preparing lessons in her office, as likely as not.
Likely as not, we’ll just have to pay a fine since we’re first time offenders.

    likely as not
Fig. probably; with an even chance either way. (*Also: as ~.) He will as likely as not arrive without warning.Likely as not, the game will be canceled.

    Модальность likely и possible

Forces on the left tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be likely.

Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible.

    Likely:

having a high probability of occurring or being true : very probable

    Possible:

being something that may or may not occur <a possible surprise visit> b : being something that may or may not be true or actual <possible explanation>
