Why does ms word disappear when I minimize and try to reopen? Here is the
situation that happens daily: I open ms word and then minimize it to access
another page. Then I go back to ms word and click on the icon on the bottom
of the screen to pull the page up then POOF—it all disappears. I have
experimented with this and it happens whether or not I am using multiple
pages, other programs, the internet, etc…It happens frequently. This has
been an ongoing problem for several months. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled my software but it continues to have this error. I have Mc Afee
and Ad Aware, I have «cleaned» my hardware, I have «defragemented» my files.
Whats the problem?

You have a corruption in the handwriting utility in Office. Run Office setup
and uninstall the Handwriting Recognition option. Restart Word and it should
now be OK. You can then run Setup and reenable the handwriting recognition
if you use it.

Thanks for the ideas. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my software and
that seemed to work for some reason. I am not sure why—but it took care of
the problem!

Hello, all. I am hoping someone can help us figure it out.
Just this past weekend, we started to notice that our HP Beats Special edition notebook has been making random letters disappear or be fragmented on the display screen. If we scroll over it with our mouse, it will sometimes restore (not always!). I attached a few screen shot examples as to this occurring. It is hard to explain in Google to find an answer. Our resolution is at the highest available level. Any idea what is going on?
Also, once in a while, certain keys on the keyboard will not work (such as some random numbrs on the number board on the far right — we thankfully can still use all of the numbers on the top of the keyboard. Any ideas as to why?

Windows10: all menu text disappeared! Help!
Hello,
Something is wrong with my Windows 10. A few days ago, all menu text disappeared! Initially, reboot the system would resolve the issue. But now reboot the system doesn’t help at all. I tried to reset the system yesterday, it doesn’t work either.
For example, if you click on the network button on the right bottom corner, a list of available wifi networks will be displayed. But what I get is only a list of the wireless icons, all the network names are disappeared.
However, if I login as a different user (Administrator), the menu text are back.
Any suggestions?

Text randomly disappears in most programs
After installing creators update, the text in most programs would disappear randomly, making them impossible to use.
Symptoms before this happens:
- Computer usually hangs (sometimes even mouse cursor freezes) for at least a few minutes
- If I happen to have task manager resource monitor up at the time of the freeze, read/write would be 0kbps, yet disk usage is 100%
- Usually I’d have some kind of CPU/GPU intensive program open like a game, but it’s always minimized. In other words my computer never hangs while actually playing the game
Programs with missing text or glitched text:
Programs that don’t get affected:- Internet browser (even foreign characters display fine)
- Windows context menus, like when you right click
- Task bar and start menu
I’m assuming something crashed, like fonts? But it’s very weird why some programs or features don’t get affected.
I Googled this and only found two «solutions», run SFC scannow, or uninstall «Comodo firewall». I’ve already ran SFC with no errors, and I don’t have Comodo installed. Graphics drivers are all up to date (Intel HD + Nvidia Optimus). Also my issue is different as some programs aren’t affected.
Simply restarting computer will fix this, but I’d like to find out what’s causing it, as it’s happening almost every day.

To enable text suggestion on your Lumia 640, you may follow these steps:
1. Go to Settings under your App list.
2. Search for Keyboard.
3. Tap the keyboard you’re using to make changes.
4. Check the checkbox for «Suggest text».

The Preview pane in the dialog seems to cause Word (which I have running and connected to my program) to disappear form the screen! It’s actually still running, but not visibly. If I run Word from that point, it still contains any file that was open in it
before.I think this is related to the Preview Pane setting in Windows Explorer. If Preview Pane is set ON there, it is ON in the OpenFileDialog. And when the Preview Pane is on in the dialog, it causes Word to disappear. (Probably this is related to the fact that
the Preview Pane in my program is going to show the contents of Word files.)I checked the possible settings for the OpenFileDialog, and can’t find anything that would turn the Preview Pane off. If I can’t turn it off in the dialog, maybe I could turn it off in Windows Explorer. So, if anyone knows how to do that, it would help me
almost as much as finding out how to turn the Preview Pane off in the dialog. (I could turn Preview off in Explorer, display the OpenFileDialog, then turn Preview back on in Explorer if it was on before.)
