I added a «copy to clipboard» option to make it easier to get the results. Right now the frequency report only covers single words but sometime in 2023, I’ll enhance this functionality to include two words and three-word keywords frequencies in the analysis. I’ll also add a download as a PDF option once I find some free time.

What is On-page SEO Optimization and Techniques?

On-page SEO refers to the optimization techniques that are applied to a website’s individual web pages to help them rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) and drive organic traffic. On-page SEO techniques typically involve optimizing the content and HTML source code of a page to make it more relevant to specific keywords or phrases that people are searching for.

Some common on-page SEO techniques include:

  1. Keyword research and optimization: This involves identifying relevant keywords and phrases for your content, optimizing page titles, headings, meta descriptions, and content with these keywords to help search engines understand what your content is about.
  2. Content optimization: This includes creating high-quality, unique, and engaging content that provides value to your audience, as well as structuring content with headings, subheadings, and bullet points to make it more readable and scannable.
  3. Technical optimization: This involves optimizing the HTML source code of a page, including meta tags, image alt tags, and schema markup, as well as ensuring that the website is mobile-friendly, loads quickly, and has a clean, easy-to-navigate design.
  4. Internal linking: This involves linking related pages within your website to help visitors find relevant information, as well as distribute link equity throughout your website.
  5. User experience: This includes optimizing your website for easy navigation and fast loading speeds, as well as making it accessible and usable for people with disabilities.

Some of the most important on-page SEO factors include the use of relevant and targeted keywords, optimizing page titles and meta descriptions, ensuring that the page has a clear and concise structure, including headers and subheaders, using high-quality and relevant images and videos, optimizing page loading times, and ensuring that the page is mobile-friendly.

By implementing on-page SEO techniques, you can improve the visibility and ranking of your website in search engine results pages, attract more organic traffic, and ultimately drive more leads, sales, and revenue for your business.

What is Keyword Density for SEO?

Keyword density for SEO is a metric that represents the percentage of times a target keyword or keyphrase appears on a page compared to the total number of words on the page. It is a common practice used by website owners and marketers to optimize web content for search engines. The goal is to include enough instances of a particular keyword or key phrase within the page’s content to help search engines better understand the page’s topic and rank it higher for relevant search queries. However, overuse or «stuffing» of keywords in the content can lead to penalties from search engines and potentially harm the website’s ranking. Therefore, keyword density should be used judiciously and balanced with other important on-page factors such as relevance, quality, and user experience.

Does Keyword Density Still Matter for SEO?

Keyword density is the percentage of times a target keyword or phrase appears on a webpage relative to the total number of words on the page. In the past, keyword density was a major factor for ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs). However, search engine algorithms have evolved to become more sophisticated, and keyword density is no longer as important as it once was.

While it is still important to include relevant keywords in your content, search engines now prioritize quality content that provides value to the user. This means that overusing keywords, also known as keyword stuffing, can actually harm your SEO efforts and result in a lower ranking.

Today, while it is still important to include relevant keywords on a web page, the focus should be on creating high-quality, informative, and engaging content that provides value to users. Keyword stuffing or artificially increasing the keyword density can lead to a penalty from search engines and harm the website’s ranking. Therefore, rather than worrying about the keyword density, it is important to focus on creating content that answers the user’s query and provides the best user experience possible.

How Many Keywords Should I Use in My Content?

There is no fixed number of keywords that you should use in your content as it largely depends on the length and topic of your content. Instead of focusing on a specific number, you should focus on creating high-quality, engaging content that provides value to your audience.

As a general rule, it’s recommended to aim for a keyword density of around 1-2%, which means using your target keyword one or two times per hundred words. However, this is not a hard and fast rule, and you should focus on using your keyword naturally and not force it in your content.

However, it is important to avoid keyword stuffing and overusing keywords in your content, as this can negatively impact your search engine rankings. Instead, use keywords in a natural and relevant way throughout your content, including in your headlines, subheadings, and body text.

A good practice is to use your primary keyword in the title, meta description, and H1 tag, and then naturally incorporate related keywords and phrases throughout your content. It’s essential to maintain a balance between using your target keywords and writing natural, user-friendly content that delivers value to your audience.
