  1. Bernie Sanders:

There are a lot of differences of opinion between Secretary Clinton and myself on major, major major issues, but at the end of the day, this is the main one — what we are seeing is more and more power going into the hands of the few. Who’s life work is about standing up to the billionaire class, standing up to Wall Street?

  2. British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond:

We’ve gone backwards over the last few months with more and more violations of the ceasefire.

  3. Sally Yates:

Every time this lie was repeated and the misrepresentations were getting more and more specific, as they were coming out, every time that happened, it increased the compromise and to state the obvious: You don’t want your national security adviser compromised with the Russians.

  4. Saba Farzan:

With every report that Dr. Shaheed releases, it becomes more and more evident how systematic human rights violations are structured under the Iranian dictatorship, the world community with leadership by the Obama administration has thrown human rights under the Persian rug — literally. Democracy promotion has been sacrificed for the sake of talking endlessly to those who oppress Iranians terribly.

  5. Roy Gutterman:

I can see this popping up more and more, it would be reasonable to see similar suits popping up with the events in Charlottesville. Left-wing protesters clash with conservatives over the scheduled appearance of Milo Yiannopoulos. ( The Associated Press) Last August, a rally in opposition to the removal of a statute of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee on the campus of the University of Virginia turned violent as white supremacists and neo-Nazis clashed with counterprotestors. Heather Heyer, 32, was killed when James Alex Fields Jr. drove a 2010 Dodge Challenger into a crowd on a pedestrian mall. Roy Gutterman predicted the success of any future lawsuit depends on the motives of the plaintiffs, and how the court rules.

How about:

The number of new computer users is a flooding tide.

or

The number of new computer users waxes daily.

While both might be thought a tad archaic, a potential advantage is that it forces readers to think about the sentence a fraction longer while absorbing it; thus providing an increased emphasis to the sentence relative to its context.
