    Hey gang!

I’ve made it no secret that I like my men with some (well, a lot of) meat on their bones, and because of that, I’ve long been searching for a euphemism, a «nice word», for people who are, well, fat. It’s unfortunate that, in our society, «fat» is seen as a negative word, as an insult, as a flaw, but that’s the way it is right now, and while I wish it were different, I have to work with what I’m given. I’ve used words like «bigger» and phrases like «with some meat on their bones», but I’m still looking for a word I can use to describe a chubby person (as well as word I can use to describe their chubbiness itself) that has a positive connotation, a word that empowers the person it describes, rather than belittling them.

So I pose this as a challenge for you, fellow EC’ers! What are some beautiful, empowering, flattering, positive words that act as:

    1. An adjective to describe a fat person (like «chubby»), and

    2. A noun to describe their voluptuousness itself (like «curves», but less female-specific).

I’ve always loved the word— Rubenesque…Yes, I realize this word is generally considered a word to describe ripe, luscious ladies, but I find it a beautiful word that rolls of the tongue and perfectly honors the gift of flesh. And yes, I too prefer more meat on the bone—more curves for me, please!

    «Fat».

No, seriously. Being fat isn’t innately a bad thing, no matter what some people think. Some people might be ashamed of their weight and thus recoil away from the word «fat», but all the more reason to try and accept the word and make it less of a verbal weapon. Euphemisms are nice but they don’t help much in the long run.

But… if a word must be found, we tend to go with «fluffy» a la Gabriel Iglesias. xD
