Origin
On September 1st, 2008, the Season 2 Episode 1 of the television series Gossip Girl was released, in which the character Blair Waldorf asks love interest Chuck Bass to tell her she loves her in order to stay with him (shown below).
Blair Waldorf: The true reason I should stay right where I am and not get in the car, three words, eight letters… say it and I’m yours.
Chuck Bass: I… I…
Blair Waldorf: Thank you. That’s all I needed to hear.

On November 27th, 2012, the @9gag[4] Twitter feed tweeted the Gossip Girl line followed by the joke «I got food» (shown below).
On May 9th, 2017, the UnexpectedMemes Facebook[3] pages uploaded a version of the image macro featuring the «Lemme Smash» bird (shown below). On July 31st, 2017, Redditor 3personsouth reuploaded the image to /r/funny,[1] where it gained over 3,900 points (90% upvoted) and 200 comments in two months.
On August 13th, Redditor molnix posted the image macro combined with a picture of Pickle Rick to /r/rickandmorty (shown below, left). On October 17th, Redditror Extremexis submitted a deep fried variation of the image captioned with the phrase «Begone Thot», which gathered more than 2,300 points and 45 comments within 24 hours on /r/dankmemes (shown below).

Loving someone is one of the most beautiful yet frightening things you will ever experience in your life. Not everyone has the same perception on love, I feel as if everyone has their own definition revolving around their past experiences with the emotion itself. In my case, my first love tore me to pieces, emotionally and physically. I had a horrible outtake on love and honestly never wanted to experience again. My view on it was filled with hate, manipulation, distrust, dishonesty, proving yourself through acts you would never do had this said person not asked you to do to “prove your love”, and it goes on for days. It was miserable and I rarely got to see the beautiful side of love. Until now. I knew I loved E for a very long time. Naturally, I fought the feelings at first (even though I’m sure they were so painfully obvious you could smell love leaking out of my pores), but I eventually realized something: this was the beautiful side of love. It wasn’t forced, it just came so naturally. Have you ever wanted to just grab someone’s face and yell at the top of your lungs how much you love them, for absolutely no reason? That’s exactly how I feel every single time I look at E and every single time I think about him (aka every second of the day, I just can’t get enough of him). I love him endlessly. There is no part of me that doesn’t love every little part of him. It’s the sweet kind of love where you still get adorable texts that you get giddy and blushed over. It’s the kind of love where you argue who loves who more and settle the argument with millions of kisses. It’s the kind of love where I can finally trust the person I am ever so madly in love with won’t betray me, or my trust, or my love. Every time I think of my future, I can’t picture him not being in it. I’ve never met such a selfless person in my life, nor have I ever met someone who is so behind me in every little decision I make. How sweet it is to be loved by someone who can simply love you and give you absolutely no complication is one of the most sensational feelings I’ve ever gotten the pleasure of feeling. Everything from his big blue eyes, to the way his facial hair comes in patchy when he hasn’t shaved for a week (even though I beg him to shave every day), to him shadow boxing and flexing E V E R Y W H E R E (he fights mma, so shadow boxing happens as often as breathing), to him wrapping me in his arms and sometimes farting on me (so romantic, right?). I’ve learned to love all of him, even his flaws which are very far and few between. I don’t mean to brag but I have the sweetest, most handsome, funniest man God has ever placed on this sweet earth we live on. Blessed is an understatement when it comes to how good E is to me and how often he shows me his unconditional, oh-so-sweet love.
Love will always have a different definition. Love will always have different outlooks. Love will always be perceived by experiences, rather than how it’s told in fairy tales and Nicholas Sparks novels.
But, that doesn’t mean you have to settle for mediocre, or hateful love. Always allow yourself to be loved the way you want to love. Do not settle for anything less than what you deserve. Do not allow yourself to ever think that mediocre love is something you can live with, because you deserve head over heels, can’t catch your breath, wondering how you ever lived without him/her, love.
