Then Jacob called his sons and said, «Gather together so that I can tell you what will happen with you in {days to come}.
So now I will go back to my people: but first let me make clear to you what this people will do to your people in days to come.
In your distress, when all these things happen to you in days to come and you return to the LORD your God, then you will hear his voice.
because I know that after my death, you’ll surely act wickedly and turn from the road that I’ve instructed you. As a result, evil will fall on you in days to come, because you’ll act wickedly in the sight of the LORD, causing him to become angry due to your behavior.»

“Son of man, behold, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that Ezekiel sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies of the times that are far off.’
And the vision of the evenings and mornings which hath been told is true: but shut thou up the vision; for it belongeth to many days to come .
Now I’ve come to help you understand what will happen to your people in the days to come, because the vision pertains to those days.’
And after that, the children of Israel will come back and go in search of the Lord their God and David their king; and they will come in fear to the Lord and to his mercies in the days to come.
There will be great trouble [during these times], such as had never been from the beginning of time up to the present, or ever will be [in the days to come].
There will be great trouble during those days, such as had never been from the beginning of God’s creation until the present, or even will be [in the days to come].
When we see sacred paintings of Christ, the glorious image of His countenance is divinely pictured. Then, 2,000 years ago, what did people think of Jesus? What did they think of the Church that Jesus established? What did they think of the good news of the heavenly kingdom that Jesus preached? Without thinking of these matters, we cannot say we really know Christ.
Christ is God Himself in nature (Php 2:5), and Mighty God the Father (Isa 9:6). However, the Jews tried to stone Jesus to death when He said, “I and the Father are one.” According to the law of Moses, he who profaned God had to be put to death. They thought that Jesus committed blasphemy by saying that.
The God of heaven came into this earth and introduced Himself. However, the people, who claimed to serve God, tried to kill Him when He came in the flesh; finally they crucified the One whom they claimed to believe.
It’s an irony that they executed God whom they’d worshiped. When we look into the background of this terrible event, we come to know that the religious leaders of those times didn’t know God well. Actually they had a god of their own imaginations. They did not have spiritual knowledge of God that He could appear in any form, even in the bodily flesh of man just like one of them.
Then, why did God come in the flesh? Through a short story, let’s find the will of God-the reason why He came in the flesh.
God came in the flesh with the message of love and salvation
A traveler, while walking along a quiet country road, saw birds pecking at grains. They looked so cute and the traveler felt like patting their heads.
However, when he drew near to them, they flew and sat down a little ways off. Not knowing the traveler’s mind, the birds feared he would harm them. Though he attempted to come near to them several times, they flew away from him each time.
So the traveler came to a conclusion that there was no way to convey his love except to become a bird.
For the same reason Christ came in the flesh. Men always feared God and fled from His presence when they saw His holiness with their own eyes. So, God had to appear as a man in the flesh to deliver His special message of love and salvation.
When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance and said to Moses, “ … But do not have God speak to us or we will die.” …Ex 20:18-21
When the ancient Israelites heard directly from God on Mount Sinai in an awesome atmosphere, they trembled with fear and asked Moses to intercede between God and them. As the birds flew away for fear of death when the traveler drew near to them with a loving heart, so the people feared they would die when God Himself proclaimed the word.
Men are afraid when they hear God’s voice directly. So, our God came in the same appearance as us. God is spirit, but men are flesh; God is so awesome and dreadful to them. That’s why He decided to come into the earth in the likeness of men.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. … The Word [God] became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only [Jesus], who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”Jh 1:1-14
Jesus, who came in the flesh, was God by nature, the One who created all things. He came as a man so that men could come near to Him. However, people who feared God when He showed His power and divinity, despised Him and held him in contempt when He became flesh. At that time, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, so-called religious leaders, did not recognize Jesus’ divinity and looked upon Him as the same kind of man.
Five days later the high priest Ananias went down to Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, and they brought their charges against Paul before the governor. When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented his case before Felix: “ … We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect”Ac 24:1-5
In those days, religious leaders called Jesus a ‘Nazarene.’ The Bible vividly shows that they denounced God as a heretic, though He loved mankind and preached the good news of the kingdom of heaven to them.
“ … I and the Father are one.” Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”Jh 10:27-33
They tried to stone God, calling Him a blasphemer, saying that He was making Himself equal with God. Thus, they rejected God Him-self, so they could not receive His words precious like jewels.
John, the writer of the Gospel, recognized Jesus as God Himself who came in the flesh. However, in the eyes of the religious leaders, Christ appeared a mere man, a criminal even more brutal than a murderous robber. So they shouted to release Barabbas the robber and crucify Jesus.
Even Jesus’ family and relatives, who were expected to know and understand Him better than anyone else, tried to take Him into custody.
… When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”Mk 3:20-21
Why do you think these scenes are recorded in the Bible? We are to understand not only Jesus’ divinity but also His humanity, so that we can know God rightly.
Have a spiritual eye to understand Christ’s divinity
God so loved this world that He came in the flesh, but the world did not recognize and receive Him for no other reason than that He be-came flesh. The religious leaders who claimed to have a full knowledge of God devalued the gospel, calling its followers the ‘Nazarene sect.’ They rejected and crucified their own God. They spit in His face and struck Him with their fists. They slapped Him and said, “Prophesy to us, Christ. Who hit you? (Mt 26:67-68)”
Even the Gentiles would not profane the gods in whom they be-lieved. However, the people, who claimed to believe in God, treated Him with contempt; His family tried to take charge of Him, saying, “He’s gone mad”; the chief priests and the teachers of law condemned His teachings as heresy, and yelled to God who testified of Himself, “You, a mere man, claim to be God.”
They had no spiritual eye with which they could distinguish right from wrong, truth from falsehood. They judged only according to the flesh and would not open their spiritual ear to His gracious teachings. Even after Christ rose from the dead, they bribed the soldiers not to bear witness to His resurrection. They did not believe though they saw such undeniable proof. They thought they absolutely believed in God, but none of them received Him when He Himself came to this earth.
This is the actuality of the so-called religious fundamentalisms. The present situation is exactly the same in the days of Jesus. Through the things that happened at Jesus” first coming, we need to consider what occurs at His second coming. The history of the Early Church repeats in these last days; people do not receive Christ just because He has come in the flesh, even though He has brought believable and credible proof.
“ … For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,”1 Ti 2:4-5
To those who repeatedly ask how God can be a man, the Bible gives a definite answer through the word-‘the man Christ Jesus.’ The Bible says every spirit that does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is the spirit of the antichrist (1Jh 4:1-3). This shows that those who are taught by the spirit of the antichrist deny that Jesus has come as a human being.
Actually, today’s Christian doctrines are totally different from the Biblical teachings. The doctrines and fixed ideas of the religious leaders drove God, whom they believed, to the cross in those days. It is the same now.
The apostles already recognized Christ; they were depressed be-cause the people did not understand that Christ came in the flesh, and taught them, “Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is the spirit of the antichrist,” emphasizing, “the man Christ Jesus.”
When God appeared on Mount Sinai in a spiritual form, people fled with fear. So He became flesh and drew near to men. Then they rejected Him and His teachings, calling Him the Nazarene. They reported to the governor their charges against the apostles who preached the truth. They were accused of telling the truth.
Seeing the truth being rejected, we come to understand that it is hard for ordinary people to perceive the truth. Then, who can recognize and receive Christ who has come in the flesh? Some will receive Him and accept His teaching graciously, and some will persecute Him and reject it, calling it heresy. Those who receive Him are the ones born of the heavenly blessing.
“… Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death-that is, the devil-and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”Heb 2:13-15
When the traveler approached the birds, they fled away. Then he wanted to be a bird to draw near to them. Likewise, people fled away in fear when God approached them, so He chose to come into the world, having the same flesh and blood as His children. He didn’t care whether the world believed Him or not, whether the people called His teachings heresy or not; for He came to earth for the sole purpose of saving souls with true faith.
The place Christ first visited in this earth was not the magnificent temple built for 46 years. He visited the Sea of Galilee where Peter was fishing to earn his livelihood. “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” On hearing this word, Peter left his net and followed Jesus.
“As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.”Mt 4:18-20
Why do you think Jesus did not go to the temple, where many people gathered together, but to a small sea village? Jesus did not visit them but called Peter and Andrew and told them to follow Him. Immediately they left their nets and followed Him. When Jesus went a little farther, He saw James and John. Then He called them and they too followed Him right away.
There was a great difference between these fishermen and the chief priests. The chief priests, who were worshiping God in a magnificent temple with numerous people, were not pleasing in God’s sight; they were not the people who would receive His word. When Jesus preach-ed the gospel to them, they rejected it, calling it heresy. However, when He delivered it to Peter, he received it with joy and followed Him wherever He went.
Jesus already knew their spiritual state. Did He ever say to Peter, “Repent?” No. However, to the chief priests and the teachers of law, He repeatedly cried out and said, “Repent!” They called upon God only with their lips and their heart was far from Him; without repentance, none of them could enter heaven.
Realize Christ’s divinity and follow Him
God came into the earth and gave His children the Passover of the new covenant so that He might redeem His children from the devil. Nevertheless, today’s churches blasphemously say, “The Passover is a heresy.” Finally, they say such words to Jesus, who destroyed death through the truth of the Passover. Not only in the time of the Early Church but also in the last days, the religious leaders say that every teaching given by Jesus is a heresy.
The Passover of the new covenant is the gospel which Jesus Him-self preached and Apostles Paul and Peter passed on. If they call it heresy, they are like the high priest Ananias and the lawyer Tertullas who brought charges of heresy against Paul.
If Jesus comes again in the flesh, what will the world say about Him? People will reject Him again, calling Him a heretic. It’s because they do not know God. They claim to acknowledge the Trinity, but actually they do not know why the names of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are to exist. Since they blaspheme God out of ignorance, Jesus said, “They hated me without reason (Jn 15:25).” The Bible definitely prophesies that Christ will come into the earth a second time.
“… so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”Heb 9:27-28
Since it is prophesied that Jesus will come again, we must prepare ourselves to receive Him. We must not repeat the same mistake that they made when He came the first time. At that time they blasphemed God, saying, “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there? How did this man get such learning without having studied?” They seemed to think that God had to come from a distinguished family and have much scholarship. They did not listen to Him however many words He spoke to them. On the contrary, the disciples followed Him after hearing just one word, “I will make you fishers of men.” What kind of people should we be?
In these days, we hear the prophecy, “He will appear a second time.” We are to prepare the lamps with oil in order to receive the Second Coming Christ. Belittling the gospel, calling it heresy, ironically the world uses the names of Jesus, Paul and Peter. Claiming to believe in Jesus, they call His teachings heresy. How then do they account for Jesus after all?
Now, we need to think about why people rejected Christ at His first coming. Without knowing the situation of those days, we can not understand why people reject the Second Coming Christ in this age, nor can we receive Him.
“So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.”2 Co 5:16
Most people regarded Christ only from a worldly point of view, but the apostles recognized His divinity and received Him because they did not look on His outward appearance but recognized His true character. Then how can we see Christ’s divinity like the apostles?
We can observe tiny organisms or distant objects through a telescope or a microscope. Likewise, we can see Christ’s divinity only through ‘the eye of prophecy’-the Bible. Only through the Bible, written by those who were moved by the Holy Spirit, we can recognize the divinity of Christ, God in the flesh.
Though everything concerning Christ was recorded in the Bible, the chief priests, Pharisees and the teachers of the law did not fully believe the Bible and failed to recognize Him. However, the disciples received Christ even though they were not learned. Like the prophecy, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God,” the gospel of Christ was delivered to those who were pure in heart and they accepted His teaching as the word of God.
“ … brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created … all things were created by him and for him”Col 1:13-18
Apostle Paul boldly testified that the One, whom the world rejected, was God the Creator. The reason God hid His divinity was because men always feared Him and ran away from Him. To save them He veiled His Godhead in flesh. However, men scorned and despised God when He came in the flesh and they accused Him of heresy for His teachings.
Likewise, today’s worldly churches regard the Passover of the new covenant as heresy. It’s no wonder. In the time of the Early Church, Apostle Paul was accused of preaching the new covenant. He is now exalted to a higher status, being called Saint Paul. In those days, however, he was called a ‘ringleader of the Nazarene sect.’
In these last days, too, Christ so loves mankind that He has come in the flesh and brought the good news of salvation. Most people do not receive Him, as did people at His first coming. However, like the forefathers and martyrs of faith, we too should walk on the right path diligently, whatever disadvantages we suffer because of Christ. We can be greatly blessed and loved by God when we follow His teachings recorded in the Bible.
Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first (Jn 15:18).” Since we are loved by Christ, we are supposed to be hated by the world. Keeping in mind that God will give great blessing to us who suffer for following the path of Christ, we should rightly recognize the Christ, who has come in these last days, and believe in Him and boldly testify to Him. Let us build our faith on Christ the solid rock and follow the paths of Christ, and we will all enter the eternal kingdom of heaven together.
‘Apocalypse’ initially referred to a type of writing which used symbolic imagery to foretell the end of this world.
«Mulder and Scully were outsider heroes working within a corrupt government, and their questing to expose truth and squelch the apocalypse resonated with the alt-culture vibe and premillennial angst of the 1990s.» —Jeff Jensen, Entertainment Weekly, 3 July 2015
When we hear the word apocalypse, a number of images run through our minds: fire and flood, earthquakes and tidal waves, crumbling societies, zombies. But when apocalypse came into English in the 1200s, it referred to none of these things.
Apocalypse was initially used to refer to a particular type of Jewish and Christian writing that was common between 200 BC and 150 AD and which used symbolic imagery usually to foretell the end of this world and the future to come. The best-known apocalyptic work is the Apocalypse of St. John of Patmos, more commonly called the book of Revelation.
The Greek word that gave us apocalypse means «to uncover» or «to reveal.» You can see how the Apocalypse of St. John came to be called Revelation, then: the apocalyptic writings were so called because they revealed or uncovered future events.
Apocalyptic writings, and especially the Apocalypse of St. John, were often filled with cataclysmic events that heralded the end of this present age and the dawning of the age to come: fires, earthquakes, heavenly armies fighting. A few centuries after the word apocalypse entered English to name this style of literature, the word gained two additional senses: one that referred to the final battle between good and evil that’s spoken about in the Apocalypse of St. John, and another to refer to any great disaster with far-reaching effects.
This last meaning, so far removed from the original use that referred to a type of literature, is now the most common use of apocalypse, and has even shown up in humorous portmanteaus—most notably in snowpocalypse to refer to a sizeable snowstorm.
A March 13, 2010 Wall Street Journal headline offered a nice play on «apple»: «Forbidden Fruit: Microsoft Workers Hide Their iPhones.»
Forbidden fruit names a pleasure that’s immoral, illegal, or both.
In Genesis, God forbade Adam and Eve to eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The serpent tempted them, they couldn’t resist, so God exiled them from paradise. And here we are today.
What was the fruit? The usual suspect is apple. In Latin, malus means both evil and apple tree. Other contenders include grapes, figs, quinces, and pomegranates.
A king dreamed, a prophet interpreted, a phrase was born.
Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylonia, dreamed of a huge statue with a head of gold, silver torso, bronze belly … and feet of iron and clay.
The prophet Daniel deciphered the king’s vision, observing that the feet of clay signified weakness. (Daniel 2:42)
Daniel’s revelation gave feet of clay its current sense: a character flaw not readily apparent.
For example, as one blogger pointed out, «Like the rest of us, Tiger Woods has feet of clay.»
Back to Adam and Eve.
After eating the forbidden fruit, they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. (Genesis 3:7)
God wasn’t fooled, of course — and today a fig leaf refers metaphorically to something that conceals or camouflages (usually inadequately or dishonestly).
Fig leaves can also be used more literally. For example, art restorers in Italy long ago discovered that fig leaves in paintings and sculptures aren’t always original. Sometimes they were added, centuries later, to conceal offending nudity.
Good vs. Evil. The Final Battle. The Ultimate Conflict.
This story, still thrilling, is as old as Armageddon.
The word appears only once in the Bible («Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon»-Revelation 16:16). Armageddon names the site (or time) of the conclusive battle between the forces of good and evil.
These days, the word can be applied to any vast decisive confrontation. For example, the battle over health care legislation was dubbed an Armageddon.
And of course the word’s end-of-the-world implications can also be seen, winking, in winter storms labeled snowmageddon.
Thomas the Apostle claimed he wouldn’t believe in the resurrection until he actually touched the wounds of Jesus.
Jesus understood Thomas’ doubt and invited him to do just that. But according to the Gospel of John, Jesus also included this gentle rebuke: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (John 20:29)
Either way, Thomas lost his doubt. But doubting Thomas came to name any incredulous or habitually doubtful person.
For example, consider the person on Twitter who confessed, «I am slowly turning into a doubting Thomas about social media.»
«A good Samaritan was assaulted early Sunday morning … after picking up a man whose truck had broken down.» —The Paris [Tennessee] Post-Intelligencer, Mar. 2010
This is a sorry twist on the original episode.
In Luke 10:30-37, Jesus told a parable about a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho who was robbed, beaten, and left for dead. Though the man was probably a Jew, a priest and a Levite hurried past. Only a Samaritan (a people who had hostile relations with Jews) stopped to help.
Good Samaritan now names someone who generously aids those in distress. Good Samaritan Laws protect persons who, in good faith, render emergency care.
It’s odd that kingdom come is often associated (sometimes humorously) with violent death.
For instance, as one blogger reported, «Turns out that in foiling a plot by the evil Nazi scientist Baron Zemo, Captain America’s teenage sidekick was blown to kingdom come.»
But the phrase comes from the Gospel of Matthew, which includes these words in The Lord’s Prayer: Thy kingdom come,/Thy will be done … (Matthew 6:10)
Kingdom come is heaven, or the next world — a place, one hopes, of absolute peace.
Mispronouncing a word can be embarrassing; in this case, it could be fatal.
Shibboleth means «stream» in Hebrew. In the Book of Judges, following a great battle, Gileadite soldiers challenged suspected retreating Ephraimites to say it — because they knew their Ephraimite enemies could not pronounce sh. As the story goes, 42,000 Ephraimites failed the test and were killed.
Over the years, shibboleth has lost its danger.
Today, it usually describes a trite idea or platitude, or a slogan or catchword.
For example, in an article poking fun at contemporary food trends: «Words like seasonal, local and, best of all, green market were shibboleths for every self-respecting cook from potato peeler on up.» (Time, Feb. 2010).
Sarah listened raptly as Abraham recounted his family history.
«Your mother told you I would be writing your begats, and you seemed very pleased with the idea.» —Marilynne Robinson, Gilead, 2004
Another word that doesn’t appear often in print, but often enough to merit entry into our Unabridged Dictionary, is begats. It is used informally to refer to a genealogical list, as Robinson uses it above, or to one’s offspring. This word comes ultimately from the verb beget, which is a formal and somewhat archaic word that means «to become the father of (someone).»
Genealogies are important throughout the Jewish and Christian Scriptures: they give a historical context to stories being told, and establish spiritual lineages through which God’s promises, blessings, and curses are enacted through history. Accordingly, there are some extensive genealogies in the Bible, and particularly in the Jewish Scriptures:
And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad, and Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed, and Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah, and Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum, and Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama. —1 Chronicles 2:36-41, KJV
These long lists became humorously known as begats, for frequent repetition of the word. We’ve been using begats to refer to genealogies since the late 1800s.

The word Jew is nowhere to be found in the good book
The word “Jew” did not come into existence until the year 1775 A.D., whereas the occurrences in the bible took place from around 4000 B.C. to 70 A.D.
WHO IS A JEW?
Its modern connotation points to someone who follows and adheres to a faith similar to that of the Pharisees of Judah, but is not of the tribe and stock of Judah. In other words, Jews are people from nations other than the 12 Hebrew tribes who practice a religion known as Judaism/Pharisaism, the doctrine of the Pharisees.
It is much like those who believe in Christ and are called Christians, in honor of the One whom they follow, and their religion is known as Christianity, the doctrine of Christ. If one were to say that all Christians are Judahites because Christ was of the tribe of Judah, it would be a fallacy. In much the same way, Jews are not Judahites (or Judeans).
In fact, the religion that is known as Judaism is actually Pharisaism. Judaism – as it pertains to Pharisaism – is a misnomer, since it is neither the doctrine of Judah nor the doctrine that Christ practiced, hence not an Abrahamic faith.
It is the pagan doctrine of the Pharisees of old, an evil creed they brought back from their Babylonian captivity. It does not follow the truth of the Bible, neither of the Old Testament nor of the New. Its central tenets are found in a book called the Talmud (the real Satanic Verses), a book full of worldly traditions, lies, and superstitions.
“The Babylonian Talmud is based on the mystical religious practices of the Babylonians which were assimilated by the Judahite Rabbis during their Babylonian captivity around 600 B.C.,” wrote Edward Hendrie in Solving the Mystery of Babylon the Great. “The Rabbis then used these occult traditions in place of the word of God.”
And that is why Jesus was constantly rebuking the Pharisees:
“You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44
“You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” Mark 7:8
“For you have taken away the key to knowledge.” Luke 11:52
“You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell?” Matthew 23:33
WHAT IS THE WORD IN THE NON-TRANSLATED BIBLE?
In both the Old Testament Hebrew and the New Testament Greek, the word to be translated is always meant to be Judah or Judahite(s), of the physical tribe and stock of Judah. And Jews today are not of the tribe of Judah.
Hebrew Words in the Old Testament Bible: 1) Yehuwdah: Jehudah or Judah 2) Yehuwdiy: Jehudite or Judahite.
Greek Words in the New Testament Bible: 1) Iouda: Jehudah or Judah 2) Ioudaios: Jehudite or Judahite, or belonging to Jehudah/Judah.
Prior to 1775, when the English language was still in its infancy, IEWE was used to translate these words. Unlike the word Jew it was pronounced Yee-hoo-wee, stretching its best to imitate the original Hebrew phonetic of Ye-hu-wdiy.
According to Jewish-born Historian Benjamin H. Freedman, author of Facts Are Facts:
“The best known 18th century editions of the New Testament in English are the Rheims (Douai) Edition and the King James Authorized Edition. The Rheims (Douai) translation of the New Testament into English was first printed in 1582 but the word ‘Jew’ did not appear in it.
“The King James Authorized translation of the New Testament into English was begun in 1604 and first published in 1611. The word ‘Jew’ did not appear in it either. The word ‘Jew’ appeared in both these well known editions in their 18th century revised versions for the first times.
“When the word ‘Jew’ was first introduced into the English language in the 18th century its one and only implication, inference and innuendo was ‘Judean’. However, during the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries a well-organized and well-financed international ‘pressure group’ created a so-called ‘secondary meaning’ for the word ‘Jew’ among the English-speaking peoples of the world. This so-called ‘secondary meaning’ for the word ‘Jew’ bears no relation whatsoever to the 18th century original connotation of the word ‘Jew’. It is a misrepresentation.
“The present generally accepted secondary meaning of the word ‘Jew’ is fundamentally responsible for the confusion in the minds of Christians regarding elementary tenets of the Christian faith. It is likewise responsible today to a very great extent for the dilution of the devotion of countless Christians for their Christian faith.
“Christians today are becoming more and more alerted day by day why the so-called or self-styled ‘Jews’ throughout the world for three centuries have spent uncounted sums of money to manufacture the fiction that the ‘Judeans’ in the time of Jesus were ‘Jews’ rather than ‘Judeans’, and that ‘Jesus was a Jew’.” See How the Ashkenazi Jews conquered the West
The forced evolution of the word “Jew” is similar to the evolution that befell the word “Gay.” Gay=Merry became Gay=Homosexual. Try telling someone who’s happy (and who’s not a homosexual) that you’re glad he’s so “gay” and see what happens.
Another example is when many Christians today interact with a Jew they just met, their immediate reaction is to say, “Oh, Jesus was a Jew, too.” What they’re unwittingly saying is, “Oh, Jesus was a Pharisee, too.”
Oh, the blasphemy!
A word is what it is according to the meaning of its time. The word “Jew” today is so entrenched in describing one who follows Pharisaism (or Judaism) that it’s been completely emptied of its original meaning. Hence it no longer describes a Judahite or Judean.
That is why it needs to be struck from the translated bible.
“God is not the author of confusion…” 1 Corinthians 14:33
PUBLISHED BIBLE MANIPULATION
In all currently published bibles the word “Jew” is what is printed. However, in the 1985 New King James version, published by Thomas Nelson, Inc., there’s a glaring discrepancy:
“…the Judeans, who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men…” 1 Thessalonians 2:15
Thomas Nelson NKJ Editorial Manipulation
That’s the only place in that version where the word Ioudaios is rightly translated as Judean instead of the conspicuous word Jew.
Which prompts the following questions:
Did Jews bribe Thomas Nelson, Inc. to do it? If so, what did they stand to gain? And do the editors at Thomas Nelson, Inc. actually know that the word Jew is NOT in the bible?
All in all, it simply is deliberate manipulation. Because, simply put, the same Greek word Ioudaios is oddly translated two different ways in that version.
And the only place where it’s different is in that very uncomfortable and crucial verse where we are being led, like sheep to the slaughter, to envisage “Jews” (of today, of course) as not contrary to all men and not the killers of our Lord; while the “Judeans,” of the tribe of Judah, were the actual contrary ones who crucified the Lord and persecuted Christians.
Still, in other verses where the word Jew is maintained throughout, the Talmudic Rabbinists (aka Fake Hebrews or Jews) get to be seen as the Hebrews of old – a misappropriated appellation that is full of benefits for them, including the theft of Palestine to create modern-day Israel.
Consequently, yes, the editors at Thomas Nelson, Inc. do know that the Word Jew is NOT in the Bible, and yet they keep using it.
JEWS TODAY ARE NOT THE HEBREWS OF THE BIBLE
Today, those who are known as Jews are in fact the non-Semitic and non-Israelite Ashkenazim, Sephardim, and Samaritans, who in later times joined small numbers of other races that converted to Judaism/Pharisaism: Polish, Russians, Ukrainians, Germans, etc. These latter ones form a minority known as European Jews who, when coupled with the Ashkenazim, constitute a majority against the darker-skinned Samaritan, Sephardic, and African Jews. Discover What Happened to the Hebrews.
All the above groups are converts to Judaism, and none can claim to trace their ancestry to Abraham, Jacob, or Judah. In other words, they’re not the chosen Hebrews of the Bible with whom God had the Old Covenant, and therefore cannot claim the land of Palestine as their Abrahamic inheritance. And resurrecting the dead Hebrew tongue after centuries in the dustbin of oblivion, in order to make it modern Israel’s official language, won’t change those facts, much like parking a Subaru in a Lamborghini dealership won’t turn it into a Veneno Roadster.
Here’s an example of how changing Jews to Judah changes the whole meaning of a passage:
“Salvation is of Judah.” John 4:22
In every bible that verse is translated as “Salvation is of the Jews.” Let’s go to the original Greek word, Ioudaios which literally translated means “Belonging to Judah – Of the tribe of Judah.” However, Jews today do not belong to the tribe of Judah.
And that’s extremely important, because Jesus knew why He said Judah and not Levi or Ephraim or any of the other tribes, not even Jacob or Israel. He was announcing the fulfillment of every Old Testament prophecy concerning Himself, including Micah’s prophecy which was proclaimed some time during 737-696 BC:
“And thou, Bethlehem Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Judah: out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity.” Micah 5:2
And that was the reason Jesus told the Samaritan woman that “Salvation is of Judah.” What He was really telling her was that, “The Samaritans and the Judahites may worship the same God and share the same faith, but salvation is of Judah.”
Jesus, Himself the salvation, was born of the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem, Judah (and was crucified in Jerusalem, Judah). And only Jesus’s going forth could have been from the beginning, from the days of eternity because He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was Emmanuel, God with us (God made flesh).
“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.” Matthew 1:23
Furthermore, the Judahites kept God’s covenant with Moses by slaughtering and eating a lamb for Passover. Jesus performed it with his disciples. The lamb was killed and eaten in a private home.
The sacrifice of the Passover Lamb in the Hebrew home was God’s very covenant with each individual ancient Hebrew, and that’s why Jesus fulfilled it with his disciples in order to introduce the new covenant.
“Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household.” Exodus 12:3
Jews don’t kill a lamb for Passover in their homes to keep the old covenant alive, and most of them follow the Talmud, a man-inspired book full of Babylonian superstitions. Therefore, such practices on their part demonstrate how distinct their faith is compared to the faith Jesus practiced.
CONCLUSION
The word “Jew” as we understand it today is NOT in the bible.
It has been completely hollowed out of its “Judean” or “Judahite” meaning, because the proselytized Rabbinists who hijacked it are not of the tribe of Judah. See How the Ashkenazi Jews Conquered the West.
“Judahites and proselytes…“ Acts 2: 11
All it does is create confusion in the Christian mind, which is exactly what the satanic forces want in order to unseat Christians as the new Chosen People – chosen to love and to do good – and to calumniate Christ as a Pharisee.
“God is not the author of confusion…” 1 Corinthians 14:33
No matter what these principalities of hell do, Jesus remains who He is and who He always was, a true Judahite, the awaited King and Messiah, the Salvation that was to come from Judah.
However, we Christians must do our part: remove the word “Jew” from the translated bible and replace it with Judahite, so the whole world may know that Jesus was NOT a Jew.
