I think I’d probably just use «not confident» in your example, Karen.
I wouldn’t use «unconfident», which seems to me to relate to a more permanent characteristic.

Another possibility, not quite the opposite of confident, would be «…she was worried about not doing well» or «…she was worried she wouldn’t do well».
