по теме «Путешествие – это…» (по УМК Кузовлева В.П.)

Тип урока – комплексное применение знаний и способов деятельности.

Цели и задачи урока:

1. Развивающие – развитие произвольного внимания, развитие способностей к логическому изложению содержания высказывания, способности к решению речемыслительных задач, развитие качеств ума (логичность, критичность, доказательность), творческого воображения, способности к самоконтролю и самооценки знаний.
2. Воспитательные – осознание родной культуры иноязычных стран, формирование уверенности в себе и своих силах, формирование потребности и способности к критическому мышлению.
3. Обучающие – совершенствование лексических навыков, закрепление навыков аудирования, скрытый контроль уровня сформированности речевых навыков.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент.

Good morning, boys! Today it is our last lesson to the topic “Travelling”. Tomorrow you will write a test. So at this lesson we are going to revise and sum up all the information you’ve learnt to this topic.

         2. Цели и задачи урока:

              The title of our lesson is “Travelling is…” (Слайд 1) At the end of the    lesson we have to finish this sentence. Today we will also travel in the large country of English language. Our route looks like that: …    (Слайд 2) What do you think we are going to do at this lesson? (возможные варианты ответов: remember vocabulary, discuss the reasons for travelling, talk about our trips, revise grammar rule «Modal verbs”, listen to the conversation, prove home task, learn proverbs and sayings about travelling). Let’s begin our travelling!

        3. Повтор лексики

              1) First of all I want you to remember the vocabulary. How many word combinations can you find? Don’t forget to translate them. (Слайд 3)  (key: travel leaflet, travel guide, left luggage room, single ticket, return ticket, to go abroad, place of interest, to book ticket, means of travelling, to go on business, to travel abroad, to travel on business)

             2) How can people travel? (Слайд 4)  Mind the preposition. (key: by plane, by car, by ship, by bus, by train, on foot)

4. Причины для путешествия.

             Many people like travelling. Now let’s discuss why people travel. (Ребята называют причины для путешествия). Look at the blackboard     (Слайд 6) and check whether all reasons have been mentioned.

Conclusion: Now we know why people travel.

5. Презентации учеников о классных поездках.

        I know that your class likes travelling. Two boys have prepared stories      about your class trips. Listen to them. (Презентации)

        Last Sunday you also had a trip. Let me know about it. Answer my questions:

             1) Where did you go?

             2) What did you visit?

             3) By what did you travel?

             4) Did you book tickets beforehand?

             5) Was the excursion interesting?

             6) Did you like circus performance?

        Before travelling abroad we should learn some tips for travellers. Let’s remember the modal verbs MUST, SHOULD, OUGHT TO, NEEDN’T, CAN, TO BE ABLE TO and do the following exercise (Слайд 7 и приложение 1)

1. You must / can get a visa for most of the countries abroad.
2. You mustn’t / needn’t pack many things.
3. All the travellers abroad should / must fill in a custom declaration.
4. Every tourist must / ought to have a medical insurance.
5. If you are lost when travelling, you can / should ask a policeman for help.
6. Passengers must not / needn’t take more than one bag onto the plane.
7. You needn’t / shouldn’t make a hotel reservation, if you are on a package tour.
8. In some countries you couldn’t / needn’t pay to visit some museums.
9. If you want to take photos in a museum, you ought to / are able to ask

 a permission.

1. You shouldn’t / couldn’t ask foreigners personal questions, because it is not polite.
2. You should / must read the Tips for travellers leaflet before your trip.

         There are many proverbs and sayings about travelling. Try to translate some of them into Russian. (Слайды 9-13) Do you agree with the last saying? What do you think about it?
