MY FIRST JOB
My first own. official job was as a paper-girl for the Weekly own
Globe in England. I was not quite thirteen years old at the √
time. I remember the first morning I started work, having
to deliver about sixty newspapers to their various houses in
our neighbourhood. When I started at six o’clock in the
morning and finished at around 8:15, in time to dash off
to school, which was a twenty-minute walk from the home.
My father was so proud of my progress that he decided to
buy me a second-hand bicycle, which ait out my workload
in half. I learned a few of important lessons at the job, too.
The first lesson was punctuality. If their papers weren’t

and complain. Another lesson I learned concerned about
customer service. When regular customers were pleased
with my work, they gave to me generous tips and presents
at Christmas. Finally, I learned how to handle money,
something that it has been invaluable to me ever since.
