Данное задание направлено на контроль сформированности языковых компетенций двух видов: владение лексическим материалом урока и навык грамматической трансформации подходящей по смыслу фразы в заданном лексико-грамматическом контексте. Необходимо в каждый пропуск выбрать подходящую с точки зрения лексики и грамматической сочетаемости фразу. Для этого необходимо обращать внимание на непосредственное окружение искомой фразы — наличие предлогов, союзов, артиклей, разных форм местоимения.
Так, в первом предложении необходимо обратить внимание на противительный союз but и отрицание don’t. С точки зрения лексики нам подойдет фраза get one’s hopes up- успокаиваться. Эта фраза должна быть подвергнута грамматической трансформации – one’s необходимо заменить на притяжательное местоимение your, так как в целом, предложение обращено ко 2 лицу.
