Install Power-user

Step1: Download 

Click on this download link to download Power-user on your computer. You will see the Power-user.exe setup downloading:

Step2: Install

Click the Power-user.exe setup to launch the installation.

Click «Next» and follow the required steps of the installation wizard.

Activate a license

Once the installation is complete, (re)launch PowerPoint, Excel or Word.

The following popup will prompt you to activate a license: 

Enter your email, and click «Send code«. A 6-digit confirmation code will be sent to your email address.

Go to your mailbox, and copy this 6-digit confirmation code from the email.

Paste the confirmation code it in the above window. Check the box to accept the Data Privacy Policy, and click «Activate«.

You didn't receive the confirmation code? 

Try the following:
- Verify that your typed the email address correctly
- Check your spam folder
- Wait 2-3 min, as there can be a delay for the email to reach your inbox
- Use the "re-send" button to send the activation code again
- Your company firewall policies could be blocking the emails. Contact your IT and ask them to whitelist these IP ranges
- Alternatively, restart the application and try again to activate using a different email address, like your private email

Activate a Premium key [Optional]

If you have received or purchased a Premium license key, you will need to insert it in the next screen: 

Activating a license key will enable you to retain access to Premium features beyond the trial period, while 

giving you access to all the customizations and integrations set up by your organization, such as corporate Templates, Icons, Pictures, Maps or Tombstones.

If you don’t have a license key and want to use Power-user as a trial, just click «Next«.

Congratulations, the license is now active!

Finalize your account

In the next screen, fill in the requested information to finalize your account.

If you answer «Yes» to the question «Would you like to have a live demo of Power-user«, you will be redirected to the page where you can register for a live demo with someone from our team.

In any case, click «OK» to validate the window and you are ready to start working with Power-user!

Download the libraries [Automatically]

Power-user comes with a unique set of visual assets for PowerPoint, Excel & Word:

To make these assets available even when you are working offline, these libraries will be downloaded on your computer.

How It Works

To get started, you’ll first need to download and install the Power-user plugin. The download link can be found on the company’s official site.

Once you’ve downloaded and installed the plugin, launch PowerPoint. One thing you’ll notice is that Power-user will create a new tab in the PowerPoint’s ribbon as shown in the screenshot below.

The plugin will also create a tab in the Excel ribbon as shown below. This Excel add-in will allow you to perform many Excel functions such as inserting data maps, icons, create Mekko charts, etc.

Inserting Editable Maps, Icons, and Diagrams

Once you click on the Power-user tab, it will open up a swathe of features grouped in a horizontal alignment. Towards the left side you’ll find the options to choose a template, create diagrams and charts, add sticky notes, stamps, and more.

To add an editable map, click on the library icon, then select “maps” from the drop-down list.

The maps provided by this tool are quite flexible, and you can easily edit them or even single out a specific region. For example, say you want to highlight the map of Algeria and Kenya separately; you can easily do so with just a single click. This is what your results will look like.

Create Complex Diagrams & Charts

If you’re not satisfied with the free diagrams that the program offers, you can easily create your own diagrams and charts. You can create a wide range of diagrams ranging from relationships to pyramids to circular diagrams and more. Just click on the “pyramid” icon and select your desired diagram type.

For example, if you want to create a relationship diagram, all you need to do is define the number of outer circles and arrows as shown in the screenshot below.
