- Doom. Short, punchy, and fitting for a game where you shoot your way through hundreds of invading demons. The title was inspired by a scene in The Color of Money, where Vincent refers to his pool cue as «Doom».

Well, if you consider that Will Wright and Maxis were also making «The Sims», «The Sims 2», and billions of expansions in the meantime, you may be right. What 2008 game released by this company (along with its ‘Creature Creator/Editor’) was the most pirated video game of its year?

Overview
Sometimes, a game’s title is comprised of a single word, whether that be regular dictionary words, completely made up words, or even character names. Often this is done to give the name a sense of impact, or to highlight a core theme or character from the game. Alternatively, it can also happen when licensed games adopt the single-word title of the property they come from.
