YLE MOVERS Books/Учебники
Today, following on from my previous post, I’m going to share links to online resources for the 2018 Cambridge English: Movers Test.
The 2018 Handbook.
In this, you can find out what’s on each Test. The wordlists, the grammar and structures list, the format of the different Parts of the Tests (Listening, Reading and Writing and Speaking).
In the Handbook, I’d particularly recommend the Tips for preparing learners for the different parts of the test.
You’ll find tips for Movers Listening on page 23, for Reading and Writing on page 25 and for Speaking on page 29.
Link to the 2018 Young Learners Handbook: http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/images/young-learners-handbook-2018.pdf
For a summary of the changes that have been made to Movers, go here:

Sample papers

The audio file for the Movers Listening is available here: http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/images/movers-sample-listening-2018.mp3
Sample Papers 2 (Starters, Movers & Flyers): http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/images/young-learners-sample-papers-2018-vol2.pdf
* The audio file for Movers Listening Sample Papers 2 is available as a link within the Sample Papers pdf.
Wordlists
The Movers Alphabetical Wordlist is available here: http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/images/351850-yle-movers-word-list-2018.pdf.
And the highly useful Movers Wordlist Picture Book here:

Movers Speaking Test
The Movers Speaking Test has changed very very little. (A great change is that the title of the story in Part 2 and the names of the people in the story now appear on the sheet with the pictures).
The Assessment Criteria for the tests have changed for Speaking Tests as from 2018, but as yet, I have not found this online. I will add the link when it appears!

Teaching Tips
For the new Movers Writing Part 6, I recommend you look at the Young Learners Handbook pages 26-27. There is a picture and some sample answers with marks.
You can also watch and listen to Rachel Jeffries talking about how to approach this task:
A really useful resource to prepare for this task is the Movers Writing Skills Booklet: http://worldoffun.cambridge.org/storage/app/media/Movers/Movers%20Writing%20Skills%20Booklet.pdf
and the Answer Key:
http://worldoffun.cambridge.org/storage/app/media/Movers/Movers%20Writing%20Skills%20Booklet%20Answer%20Key.pdf
Movers Listening Part 3
Watch Rachel Jeffries sharing tips for working on the words prior to listening to a Part 3 Movers Listening here:
I hope you’ll enjoy using these resources. In my next post, I’ll share resources for 2018 Flyers.
