Method 1: Highlight a Line Using the Shift and Right Arrow Keys

Step 1: Open your Word document.

Alternatively, you can simply double-click and hold while dragging the cursor downward, toward the left margin.

You can highlight multiple lines using this method by dragging the cursor to the direction of the lines you want highlighted instead.


Method 3: Highlight a Line Using the Left Margin

This final method makes use of the left margin of your document. Unlike the previous ones, you can quickly highlight a line using this technique with a single click. 

Step 1: Open your Word document.

Step 2: Click the Left margin.

Then, when your cursor changes into an arrow, click once.
