The first thing each and every Christian must fully realize is that the Holy Bible is truly the inspired and infallible Word of God.

There are many liberal Christians who are starting to question the validity and authenticity of the Bible. I will not use this article to debate the origins of the Bible, all of the authors who wrote the books, and how the different translations came into being. There are plenty of good books at your local Christian bookstore that deal with this topic very extensively.

After studying the Bible in its complete entirety – there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that all of the Bible is God-breathed – that all of it has come directly to us from God the Father through the Holy Spirit.

For those of you who believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible, and that all of it has truly come to us from God the Father.

I will use this article to give you some extremely powerful verses from Scripture to show you that not only did all of the Bible come direct to us from God the Father through the Holy Spirit to all of the authors who wrote all 66 books of the Bible – but I will also give you some powerful verses from the Bible showing you how powerful the actual words of the Bible really are, and how they can also help to change and transform you into the kind of person that God really wants you to become in Him.

The actual words of the Bible are anointed by the Holy Spirit Himself – and they have the full ability to completely change and transform you if you are willing to work with the divine truths that are contained in the actual words.

Jesus says in the Bible that you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. However, you first have to know what the real truth is before the truth can start to work to set you free.

This is why Kind David said we must meditate on the words of the Bible – so we can find out what their true meaning is and how all of these divine truths can apply to our daily lives. Meditating on the Bible means to think about, to chew on, to try and figure out the meaning of all of the different verses in the Bible.

Though the Book is long, God has made it as simple and easy as He possibly could. Think about this. There is only one Bible. In one Book, God has given us everything we need to know about Himself, His Son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the basics of our salvation through His Son Jesus, how He wants us to live this life, the things that He wants us doing, and the things that He does not want us to be doing.

In this one Book are all the ways and commandments of our Lord, along with all the information we are ever going to need on what is awaiting all of us on the other side when we die and cross over – heaven for the saved and hell for the unsaved.

I believe the number one reason God created the human race was for intimate fellowship. Even to the amazement of the angels in heaven, God seems to have some type of special longing and love for the human race.

The fact that God would send His one and only Son Jesus down to our earth in the flesh to go through the worst form of physical death at the time He came, all just to bring us back to Himself, really does show us how much God really does love all of us.

The Bible tells us that the love that God has for all of us is like a “consuming fire.” These two words are showing us a love that is of maximum intensity. With this kind of intense, passionate love that God has for all of us, I believe He is trying to tell all of us one main thing – and that one main thing is that He is looking to enter into a one-on-one, personal, love relationship with each one of us.

Think about this – that the one and only all-powerful God of the entire universe is looking to make a direct, personal connection with you on an individual and unique basis.

If you really step back and look at the big picture and all the things that we see in this life – what is the one thing that most of us long for in this life? What is the one thing that will make you cry when you see this portrayed on the movie screens?

It is the longing for a true soul mate. It is the longing for a pure, true, and unconditional love from a person of the opposite sex. There is nothing that can satisfy the deeper longings of your soul the way that true love can. However, there is just one small catch with this scenario. Even though some of you may have found your true soul mates in this life, there is still one more thing that has not been met.

No matter how perfect you think your mate may be – your mate is still not perfect like God is, since the Bible tells us that all men and women have sinned and have fallen way short of the glory of our God. What this means is that no matter how good of a love relationship you may have with your mate, that person is still not capable of giving you a perfect love because that person is not perfect in their very nature and personality.

Thus, every single one of us still has that little hole in our soul that just cannot seem to be filled with anything else in our lives.

No matter how much money we have, no matter how many material possessions we have, and no matter how many loving children we have – there is still something missing and none of these things can completely fill that little hole that is in all of our souls.

God has purposely left a vacuum, a hole, and a void in each one of our souls when He created us. And the only thing that can fill this hole and void is God the Father Himself, His Son Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit.

There is absolutely nothing else on this earth that can fill that empty void. People are literally chasing after the wind trying to find anything and everything to fill that void – and no matter how many lovers they have, no matter how many marriages they enter into, and no matter how many toys they buy with the money they have – nothing they chase after in this life will fill that hole in their souls.

The only thing that will fill that hole in your soul is finding, and then entering into a true, personal, love relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. There is nothing else that will fill that void!

Since God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are totally perfect in Their actual natures and have no dark side to Their personalities, then They, and only They, are the only Ones who are capable of giving you a perfect, pure, and unconditional love that no one else can give you in this life.

This is why the Bible tells us that we will find a peace that will pass all human understanding once we have accepted Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior and have become truly born again. That peace we will find is the result of finding the one true Person who can fill that empty void that is on the inside of each and everyone of us – and that one Person is God Almighty Himself.

However, once you have found God through accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, there is now something you must do. You must now grow in the knowledge of God and grow in the personal relationship that He wants to establish with you.

And how do you start to grow in the personal relationship He wants to establish with you and grow in the knowledge that He wants you to have about Him? By diving head first into the Bible!

When two lovers first meet and fall in love with one another, the first thing they naturally and instinctively want to do is to learn as much as they can about one another.

How can you truly fall in love with another person unless you first seek to know everything you can about your lover, their past, where they have been, what they have been through, who are all of their friends and family, etc. Once you really fall into true love with someone, you will have a major hunger and desire to find out as much as you can about them and their past.

It’s the exact same way in our relationship with God. God obviously knows everything about each one of us since He is all-knowing, but we do not know everything about Him, His Son, or His Spirit. So the only possible way that we can learn all about God is to read and study from the Bible, since the Bible is the only Book that we have down here on this earth that will give us detailed information as to who the Three of Them really are.

If a true, born-again, Spirit-filled Christian is really in love with God, and really wants to deepen the personal relationship they have now established with Him – then the first thing that person will really want to do is to get into the Bible so that they can find out everything they possibly can about this awesome God of ours.

The more knowledge you gain about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit from studying the Bible – the stronger and deeper your personal relationship will become with the Three of Them.

As you will see in the Scripture verses listed below, there are several other incredible things that will start to occur in your life if you seek to study the Bible with the intentions on wanting to learn more about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in order to deepen your personal relationship Them.

I will break these Scripture verses down under their appropriate captions below so you can see how powerful the Word of God really is, and how it can help change and transform the quality of your life if you are willing to study, learn, and seek to apply the divine truths that are in this incredible Book.

Study these verses very, very carefully. These verses are showing you how powerful and anointed the Bible really is. Since all of the Bible comes direct to us from God the Father, you can completely trust and rely on that what you will read from the Bible will be 100% pure, solid, God-truth.

1. All of Scripture is Given to Us By Inspiration From God the Father

These first two verses will specifically tell us, without any other possible interpretation, that all of the Bible has been given to us by “inspiration of God” through holy men who were “moved by the Holy Spirit” to write what they wrote!

In other words – all of the words in the Bible have come direct to us from God the Father through the Holy Spirit. The specific authors of the Bible then wrote under the guidance, inspiration, and illumination of the Holy Spirit.

This is why you can completely trust that what you will read from the Bible will be 100% pure, solid, God-truth! There is no other book on our earth that contains direct words from God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ other than the Holy Bible. God Himself has personally arranged that all of the revelation that He wants us to have in this life about Himself, His Son Jesus, and His Holy Spirit would all be contained in this one incredible Book.

Here are the two specific verses giving us this incredible revelation:

  • All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • “… knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:20)

The first verse specifically tells us that all of Scripture, not just some or part of it, comes direct to us by inspiration from God the Father. The second verse then takes it one step further and tells us that the holy men of God who wrote the Bible, all wrote under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit Himself. It also says that no part of Scripture was of any private interpretation of these authors.

The first verse also lays out the groundwork as to what the Bible is going to be used for – for establishing solid Christian doctrine in the real truths of God, and for instruction in the knowledge and ways of God so that we may all be made complete and thoroughly equipped to go to work for God in the calling that He has set up for each one of our lives.

These two specific verses are powerful, foundational verses in which our study of Scripture has to be based on. If you do not believe that all of the Bible is truly the inspired and infallible Word of God – then the Holy Spirit is not going to move on you to start to really work the truths that are contained in the Bible to change, mold, and transform you into the kind of person that God wants you to become in Him.

Bottom line – if you want the divine truths that are contained in the Bible to really be able to change and transform you – then you will have to believe that all of the Bible comes direct to us from God the Father through the Holy Spirit. If you do not, then the Bible will have little or no transforming effect on you and your life.

2. The Word of God is Living and Powerful

As you will see in the following verses, the words that are contained in the Bible are living, powerful, and sharper than any two edge sword we can make on this earth.

In other words, the words in the Bible have God’s supernatural power and life in them. They are literally anointed by the power of the Holy Spirit Himself. This is why the words and the truths contained in the Bible have the supernatural ability to change and transform you into the kind of person that God wants you to become in Him.

That is why Jesus told the apostles to “feed” His sheep. When you read and study the Bible for increased learning, you are feeding yourself with direct anointed words from God Almighty Himself.

Many Christians who do not regularly feed off the Bible have no idea on what they are really missing out on. The Words that are in the Bible are pure, solid, spiritual food that have the supernatural ability to feed your mind, soul, and spirit. Nothing else will feed your inner man like reading from the Bible will.

Just like our human physical bodies need physical food to be able to survive – so does our mind, soul, and spirit. The food that we feed our physical bodies will not nourish our mind, soul, and spirits.

The only thing that can spiritually feed and nourish us on the inside are true, solid, spiritual truths. And the only true, solid, spiritual truths that can feed us to cause any kind of true spiritual growth to occur in this life are divine truths that come direct from God the Father and Jesus Christ.

There are no other spiritual truths from any other sources that we can feed off of that will cause any kind of true spiritual growth to occur in this life.

Any other source is just dead meat. It has no supernatural life or ability to change us because it is not coming direct from God the Father and thus has no anointing on it.

All other false religions and New Age type thinking have no supernatural ability to change and spiritually transform you in this life. Only the divine truths that are contained in the Bible have this supernatural ability.

Now here are 9 major power verses showing you how much supernatural life and power there really is in the Word of God.

  • For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
  • So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
  • Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29)
  • “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63)
  • “This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.” (Psalm 119:50)
  • Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart …” (Jeremiah 15:16)
  • How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm 119:103)
  • But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4)
  • “… as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” (1 Peter 2:2)

Notice all of the food analogies that God is using to compare His Word with. What He is trying to tell us is that when you are studying the words that are contained in the Bible for increased learning – you are spiritually feeding yourself with supernatural nutrition!

I believe that all of the above Scripture verses are trying to tell us one main thing – that the Word of God is living, powerful, and real spiritual food for the soul and spirit of every person who is willing to feed off of it.

3. The Word of God is Pure, Solid Truth

If the Bible is telling us that all of Scripture is coming direct to us from God the Father through the Holy Spirit – then the next thing that the Bible will be telling us is that all of the words that are coming direct to us from God the Father are 100% pure, solid truth.

If God is all-perfect and all-powerful, then this means His intelligence and knowledge on all things is all-perfect. And if His knowledge on all things is all-perfect, then this means that all of the words that He is conveying to us in the Bible can be counted on as being perfect words, thereby giving us perfect knowledge.

This means that all of the Bible can be counted on as being 100% pure, solid, God-truth with no errors and mistakes. The Bible tells us that all humans will only know in part with what knowledge we are able to gain down here on this earth. Thus every book you read from human authors will never be totally perfect in the knowledge that the author is trying to transmit to you.

However, since all of the Bible is coming direct to us from God Almighty Himself – then the Bible is the only Book that we have down here on this earth that is totally and completely perfect in the knowledge that it is trying to transmit to us.

This is why the Bible has the ability to change your life. No other book on this earth has the amount of wisdom and knowledge that this Book has – and this is all because this knowledge and wisdom is coming direct to us from God the Father Himself.

Now here are 4 very good verses from Scripture that are specifically telling us that every word that proceeds from the mouth of God is 100% pure, solid truth.

  • Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:5)
  • The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” (Psalm 12:6)
  • For the word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.” (Psalm 33:4)
  • Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)

Notice the first verse says that the words that come from God are “pure” words. The last verse then says that all of God’s words are “truth.” Put these two verses together and you get that all of the words that come from God are “pure truth.”

Pure means 100% pure – which means that all of God’s words are pure, solid truth with no errors or mistakes. This is why the Word of God is also called infallible and inerrant. If the Bible says that a thing is so – then it is so – end of discussion. You can literally bank your life on it!

4. The Word of God Can Sanctify You

If all of the words of the Bible are 100% pure, solid truth – then this means that all of the words in the Bible have the supernatural ability to sanctify you, especially since all of the Bible has the anointing of the Holy Spirit Himself on the entire Book.

God’s ultimate and highest aim for all of us after we become saved and born again is to sanctify us, to transform us, to mold and shape us into the express image of His Son Jesus. It is the job of the Holy Spirit to start this molding, transforming, and sanctifying work in us after we get saved.

However, the Holy Spirit needs something to work with in order to get this transformation process kicked into full gear – and that something is knowledge. God wants you to have full knowledge on exactly what it is He wants to change about you before He really starts to move you into this sanctification process with Him.

And where do you get the knowledge that will get God to start this sanctification process within you? From the Bible! There is no other book that we can learn and study from that will give us the direct knowledge that we will need from God the Father to get Him to start this sanctification process within us.

It’s the Word and the Spirit working together in a believer’s life that will get God to start working full force in their life so He can change them into the kind of person He really wants them to become in Him.

Here are several powerful verses from Scripture specifically telling us all of this. The first two verses will tell you that God can literally sanctify you by His Word.

  • Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)
  •  ” … that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish.” (Ephesians 5:26)
  • How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes.” (Psalm 119:9-12)
  • You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.” (John 15:3)
  • ” … and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” (James 1:21)
  • “For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.” (1 Thessalonians 2:13)

Notice the last verse says that the Word of God can “effectively work in you.” This means when you start reading and studying the Bible in order to gain more knowledge about God – it will start to effectively work in you so you can start to change into the person God will want you to become in Him.

Just think of the power this Book has to dramatically change and transform the quality of your entire life. True inner happiness and fulfillment can only be found on the inside of your being, not on the outside with material things and possessions.

Hollywood is living proof that money, fame, and notoriety will not buy you true inner happiness. There are many in Hollywood who truly have what they think is “all” – yet they are miserable, unhappy, depressed, and go from one shrink to another – all in an effort to try and find what is still missing in their lives and why they cannot seem to find true inner happiness with all of the earthly wealth they have accumulated.

The only way to find true inner happiness in this life is to become saved and born again through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ – and then enter into a dynamic personal relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. From there, you are to start seeking after the knowledge about God and all of His ways by studying and reading the Bible on your own.

The personal relationship you will establish with God, and the knowledge that you will gain about God from reading and studying from the Bible is what will dramatically transform the quality of your life down here on this earth. Nothing else on this earth will do that for you!

5. The Word of God Will Give You Knowledge and Wisdom

The Bible tells us that we are to grow in the knowledge and ways of God. And the number one way in which we will grow in the knowledge of God is by reading and studying from the Bible.

There is no other way! If you do not seek to learn more about the Lord by studying from the Bible, then your spiritual growth in the Lord will stagnate and you will stop growing in Him.

There are no shortcuts to true spiritual growth in the Lord. You have to pay your dues, and those dues are that you have to gain and increase in knowledge about God and all of His ways before the Holy Spirit will start you on the road to true spiritual growth. And the only Book that will give you the knowledge that will cause true spiritual growth to occur in this life is the Bible.

And not only has God given us everything that we will ever need in this one Book – but He has also given us His Holy Spirit, whose main job is to “teach us all things” and to “guide us into all truth.”

Several verses I will list below will tell you that the Holy Spirit Himself will be the One who will personally open up the meaning of Scripture for you so that you can see the knowledge that God the Father is trying to transmit to you through this Holy Book!

This is a direct supernatural work that can be done for you by the Holy Spirit if you are willing to go into a seeking mode with Him when you study the Bible.

Here are several good verses telling us that the Word of God can impart true knowledge and wisdom to us, and that God does want us growing in the knowledge of Him, His Son, and His Holy Spirit.

  • “… but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)
  • And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:45)
  • “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you.” (John 14:26)
  • “However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth …” (John 16:13)
  • Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31)
  • Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another …” (Colossians 3:16)
  • Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path … The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple … Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.” (Psalm 119:105, 130, 133)
  • My son, give attention to My words; incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.” (Proverbs 4:20)

All of the above verses are showing us how powerful the words that are coming direct from God and Jesus really are. The Word of God can truly change your life for the better – but only if you are willing to spend some good quality time seeking to understand what is in this most incredible Book.

6. The Word of God Will Stand Forever

The last thing you will really need to grasp on the power of the Word of God is that the Word of God will last and stand forever – both in this life and the next life to come, which will be heaven.

Here are 3 very good verses from Scripture telling us that the Word of God is not chained and that it will endure to all generations – both in this life and the next life to come, which means forever!

  •  “… for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained.” (2 Timothy 2:9)
  •  “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations …” (Psalm 119:89)
  • “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of God stands forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)

Not only will your study of Scripture profit you in this life, but it will also profit you in the next life to come – which will be heaven.

I personally believe that we still continue to study the Bible even when we all enter into heaven. I do not believe any one human can truly master the Bible in this lifetime. There is simply way too much knowledge, wisdom, and revelation that is contained in this one Book for any one human to be able to fully grasp all of it in this lifetime.

I believe that the Bible is like a treasure chest that has no bottom to it. And to think that all of this knowledge is contained in just one Book! Only a true God of the entire universe could have put this much knowledge and revelation into one Book.

Conclusion

I will leave you with one last thought. Each Christian must make their own personal decision on this. Once you have become saved and born again by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior – you now have one of two choices to make.

You can either choose to press in and start seeking after God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit by spending regular quality time in the Bible to learn as much as you can about the Three of Them – or you can just leave well enough alone, figure you have as much of God as you will ever need in this life, and go on your merry way living for the world and the things of this world – never increasing your knowledge base about the Lord, and never really growing in the knowledge of God and all of His ways.

I am afraid most Christians in this day and age are taking the latter approach. Most Christians have either never read the Bible in its complete entirety, or have read very little of it in their own personal walks with the Lord.

This is one of the main reasons we have started up this website – to try and show everyone how much working knowledge there really is in the Bible, and how this knowledge can dramatically change and transform the quality of your life.

As I have shown you with all of the above Scripture verses, the Word of God is:

  • Inspired, Infallible, and Inerrant
  • Living, Powerful, and Anointed
  • Pure, Solid Truth
  • Sharper than Any Two-Edged Sword
  • Can Spiritually Nourish Your Mind, Soul and Spirit
  • Has the Ability to Sanctify and Cleanse You
  • Has the Ability to Teach You, Guide You, and Direct Your Steps in this Life
  • And Will Last and Stand Forever – Both in this Life and the Next Life to Come

What more can you ask for in one Book? Bottom line – there is simply no other book on our earth that has this amount of unlimited knowledge direct from God Himself. And it is all there for the taking for anyone who wants to dive in and take the journey.

  • For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
  • All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
  • Your word is a lamp for my feet,
    a light on my path.
  • Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
  • How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
  • He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
  • The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.
  • As for God, his way is perfect:
    The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him.
  • Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
  • Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
  • Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.
  • The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.
  • Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
  • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  • For the word of the Lord is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.
  • Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
  • In God, whose word I praise—
in God I trust and am not afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?
  • Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.
  • For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
  • To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
  • Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
  • You are my refuge and my shield;
I have put my hope in your word.
  • He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
  • So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
  • You make your saving help my shield,
    and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Bible verse of the day

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Random Bible Verse

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

«The preceding paragraph is all stuff I just made up. But it’s canonical now.»

Sarah Monette, writer.

A statement regarding some ambiguous or undefined aspect of a work, the Word of God comes from someone considered to be the ultimate authority, such as the creator, director or producer. Such edicts can even go against events as were broadcast, due to someone making a mistake.

Fans may look for the Word of God to settle Fanon disputes, but the Authority may have moved on and doesn’t care to respond. In many cases the authority does not feel the need to respond; further pressure simply leads to suggestions that the fandom is misaimed. In point of fact, there are good reasons many creators don’t respond to requests for this: they want the fans to make their own interpretations. Especially in an ongoing series where the creator knows facts the fans don’t, they might very well know for a fact that both fan theories have truth in them and thus not wish to take sides. Alternatively, the author might view both readings of the story as equally acceptible, and thus not want to comment.

It’s important to keep in mind that just because someone wrote a character or setting, doesn’t mean they decided on a correct answer to every question that could possibly be asked about that character or setting. It is not at all uncommon for fans to ask questions which they believe to be obvious, but which the creator has never considered. In particular, questions about a character’s sexuality, gender identity or race often fall into this category. Everyone’s creative process is different. Not all writers make highly detailed character charts, or decide on details of a character’s identity that aren’t directly plot-relevant. The fandom might consider those details important because the work happens to speak to people who have a particular identity: but that doesn’t mean the author considered that fact important enough to spend time thinking about. Culture can play a role here as well, since what might be considered an essential fact about a person in one culture could be viewed as extraneous in another. Japanese creators, for example, will often decide what a character’s blood type is: but may not pay any mind to their sexuality. Western fans can find this very strange and frustrating.

The other reason creators often refuse to answer questions about character identity is of course, politics. This is particularly likely to be true when the creator is in a different country from the fandom. In the heat of internet discourse, it can be difficult to remember that what is a pedestrian factoid in your country can be a hot-button political issue in a different one. Creators may have good reason to fear social or even legal repercussions if they answer questions like this: something which fandoms are often not as sensitive to as they should be. Creators whose primary motivation is profit may additionally not want to alienate parts of the fandom: refusing to resolve Fanon disputes, especially if they are politically tinged, can be an effective strategy for doing that.

A number of people reject the notion of Word of God being equal to canon, considering something to be canon only if it appeared in the original source material. If the creator had wanted a certain fact to be canon, the thinking goes, they should have included it in the work to begin with. Other audience members go even further, considering the uncertainty and ambiguity of canon to be a good thing and decrying the Word of God as shackling the imagination and interpretations of the fans. These attitudes have found some acknowledgement in literary criticism: Wimsatt and Beardsley’s «The Intentional Fallacy» and Barthes’ Death of the Author essay both argue that the interpretation of a work cannot be limited to attempts to discern the «author’s intentions.»

Something else to consider is that, often, particularly when it comes to comedy shows, creators may make statements that are meant as jokes, or at least, not meant to be taken seriously. It may sometimes be difficult for people to tell if certain creators are making a genuine statement of canon or not. So, be careful when relying on things like humorous DVD commentaries and interviews on comedic talk shows for confirmation about something.

Another thorny issue is that not all stories have a single creator, and the collaborators may not actually agree with interpretations of their story that weren’t made explicit in the work. This is especially likely if they no longer work together, and particularly if they had a real-life falling out. In this case, there are multiple «Gods» given potentially contradictory explanations, so whose word is to be considered correct? Likewise, in many cases the writers of a story are not the copyright holders, meaning that they’re not the highest authorities on its meaning even if you do subscribe to the Word of God theory.

If a work has more than one creator and they disagree with each other on a crucial point, you’ll likely see fans embrace conflicting statements. What happens when multiple fans are equipped with the Word of God? What happens when one Word turns out to be more ridiculous than expected? Bible fight! The term ‘Story Bible’ is sometimes used for the definitive guidelines for writing an episode of a TV series. Two writers quoting the Story Bible back and forth are having a Bible Fight.

This is also a way that a theory can be Jossed. It’s important to remember that if you disagree with the Word of God, there’s nothing wrong with writing fan fiction that contradicts it, just don’t try to foist your preferred Fanon on fans who acknowledge the official canon or on the actual creator of the work.

Actors can be included under Word of God if they are the actual performers of the characters involved. This is because in order to perform their roles, most actors will spend time working out motivations, backstory, and even what a character is thinking in a particular scene. So even if a scene does not actually have two characters say «I love you» to each other, but the actors say that they played the roles as the two characters being in love, and the writer of the story says they were in love, then Word of God may then apply that they were in love.

When the word does not come from the creator themself but from someone involved in some ancillary role in production, that’s Word of Saint Paul. When the word does not come from the original creators but over time is still treated as such it is Word of Dante. Doesn’t always end up giving fans the answers they were looking for, such as in the case of a Flip-Flop of God (where the creator keeps changing their mind on what isn’t made explicitly canon by the actual work or multiple creators have different viewpoints on the work’s unexplained details), Shrug of God (where the creator chooses to let the fans come to their own conclusions due to either indifference or not being sure themselves) or Writer Conflicts with Canon (where what the creator says is canon is paradoxically contradicted by what is explicitly shown in the actual work). Cases of God deliberately misleading the audience go under Lying Creator or Trolling Creator. And then there are cases of fans either misinterpreting or just making up Word of God, resulting in God Never Said That.

Diagnosis of God (the creator confirming a character to have or not have a particular affliction or condition) and Word of Gay (the creator confirming a character’s sexual orientation to not be straight) are subtropes. Compare All There in the Manual. Contrast Death of the Author (the argument on whether the creator’s opinion on the work is actually worthy of merit), and What Could Have Been (where circumstances result in a work being made somewhat different from how it was originally planned to be). See also: Canon Discontinuity (where a series installment is confirmed to be non-canon), Creator Worship (where fans have a high opinion on the creators of their favorite works), Broken Base (where members of a fandom disagree on whether an aspect of a work is good or bad, some cases of which may involve whether they agree with what the creator has to say), and Revision (adding new information to the backstory that doesn’t directly contradict established canon).

    Comic Books

  • A Wizard magazine interview with then-current Avengers writer Kurt Busiek and artist George Perez asked each one to convey a factoid that nobody else could provide. The contrast is striking: Busiek went for a one-sentence retcon that filled in a dangling plot thread from an obscure story from the seventies; Perez revealed that the Scarlet Witch, his favorite character, does not wear underwear.
  • Brian Clevinger himself came onto TV Tropes to deliver a Word of God in regards to Atomic Robo.
  • Gerry Conway said in this podcast interview (about 34 minutes in) (http://wordballoon.blogspot.com/2009/06/gerry-conway-on-last-days-of-animal-man.html) that Gwen Stacy was killed because John Romita Sr. wanted to shake up Spider-Man by killing off a major character. Romita wanted to kill off Aunt May but Conway suggested killing Gwen because he thought she was a fairly standard superhero love interest and thought Mary Jane would make a more interesting love interest.
  • On December 15, 2010, Spider-Man creator Stan Lee posted the following tweet: «I herewith proclaim, for the world to see, that J. Jonah Jamesons first name is Jeremiah! And so it shall remaintill I change my mind!» (Although this does seem a bit contradictory, however; while Jameson never actually confirmed that his name was «John» in the comic, almost everyone assumed that it was, because it is the name of both his father and son.)
    • Speaking of Stan Lee and J. Jonah Jameson, Lee also admitted on Talk of the Nation that the character was designed as a grouchier caricature of himself, and also said that he would have jumped on the opportunity to portray him in a movie.
  • There’s three things Brian Michael Bendis is particularly known for: A decompressed style that takes forever to advance the plot, his love of trolling readers, and this. For example, Bendis responded to reader revolt over his poor characterization of X-23 by stating on his Tumblr that her experiences on Murderworld changed her (rather than addressing it on-panel), claiming that Executive Meddling altered his plans for Battle of the Atom (and that the deviations in a second battle with the future brotherhood steer things where he originally planned them to go), or confirming that the time travel ending of the Will arc of Uncanny X-Men would not remove Xavier, Jr. from the timeline. And his Word Of God statements frequently get snarky, especially when combined with his love of trolling the readers or when responding to criticism.
  • Convergence writer Jeff King confirmed that all the characters held hostage by Telos regained their lost lives.
  • Robin Series Adam Beechen did not have Dana among those confirmed dead in the destruction of Bludhaven because he intended for her to have survived somehow, but this never made it into the comics.
  • Disney Kingdoms: Figment writer Jim Zub revealed on Twitter that Capri is 13 years old at the time of the events of Figment 2.

    Fan Works

  • Hrodvitnon, author of the MonsterVerse fanfiction Abraxas, has provided multiple expansions of the story’s universe on her Tumblr and in the story’s Archive of Our Own comments section. Such expansions include but are not limited to: revealing more details about Ghidorah’s past, her Comic-Book Fantasy Casting of the Titans’ voices, Monster X’s or the Many’s capabilities, Thor’s hibernation cycle, and the characters’ internal thoughts beyond what the story describes.
  • Nimbus Llewelyn is well known for his habit of exposition and explanation in the author notes before chapters, particularly in reply to anonymous reviewers on Child of the Storm. He’s also known to sometimes explain or confirm things to individual readers, who then edit the tropes page to fit, or even to sometimes do so himself (he’s admitted that he’s a troper and occasionally «meddles» in the pages for his own amusement). Of course, his answers have also been known to be a Mathematician’s Answer, or outright lies if he feels like it.
  • The author of The Lion King Adventures, ThatPersonYouMightKnow, has confirmed many things on the fan forum that pertain to the series. Here are some notable examples:
    • Tama and Tojo both went to heaven after dying, despite their sinister actions.
    • The Interceptor became the pride’s best hunter after The End.
    • Haiba never entered a proper relationship when he grew up.
    • Haiba did eventually get over murdering Tama.
    • The fan nickname Anti-Haiba was accepted as canon.
    • Rafiki existed, hence why he is occasionally referenced, but ThatPersonYouMightKnow has confirmed that he died after Series 3.
    • Twiga, the giraffe from Haiba’s Wish, is in fact gay.
  • The author of Kira Is Justice uses Author’s Notes often to elaborate about facts in the story, and is always happy to give Word of God.
  • Sometimes used in White Devil of the Moon to address matters such as Nanoha’s reactions to her past life as Serenity, and how four Inner Senshi are able to defeat six trained Bureau operatives despite being less well-trained and not having Usagi/Nanoha’s leadership.
  • The character’s corner and author’s note in The Tainted Grimoire have both clarified a few things, such as reasons for making one thing the way it is. Also, through private messaging, cuttingmoon57 revealed him/herself to be a fan of TV Tropes.
  • Monica Gilbey-Bieber, the author of the Troll Fic One Less Lonely Gurl, has a commentary of his own fanfic in his blog. The commentary reveals interesting bits and trivia about the fanfic.
  • In Perfection Is Overrated, the author notes detail information about things such as how characters (both the canon characters and SUEs) are portrayed, some of what the author hoped to get across, and various other information, such as the fact that any attempt at collaboration between the SUEs would fail.
  • Magic Conan 14 gives bits of trivia on her profile page, on her blog and in author notes. One reference in The Dove Thief gets the award for most notable because there’s an asterisk sitting in the middle of the fic.
  • Bait and Switch has an «Author’s Notes» section at the end of each chapter that explains various things (e.g. why the USS Bajor has more Beam Spam than the Enterprise-D ever did, that Tess Phohl is an agnostic despite her taking the name of an Andorian war goddess in vain, and why Section 31 Agent Grell is tolerated). The author has also posted a number of characters’ backstories on the Star Trek fanon wiki Memory Gamma. StarSword later did the same thing with another fic, Red Fire, Red Planet.
  • The author of Sonic X: Dark Chaos keeps updates on his works and answers questions about the story. He also has explained many parts of the backstory and fleshed out the setting, and he has explained his reasoning for rewriting his story.
  • The author of Post MU: Life’s a Scream!! has given bits and pieces of her characters’ relationships and background information about Monsters University as well as the Monster World, which can be found here.
  • Glitter Force: Into the Glitterverse: In response to several comments, author NoonboryKedabory gave several bits of information not mentioned in the text, including:

    Films — Animation

  • In Frozen, it states that Elsa was born with her powers but never says why. Jennifer Lee later revealed (about a third down) that one child is born with ice magic 1,000 years after an alignment of Saturn. It was going to be explained in the film itself but was cut, because the more you learn about a world’s magic, the more questions you have about how it works, plus it would have been too explanatory and take away from the plot’s focus.
  • The Incredibles creator Brad Bird revealed on Twitter that Helen Parr’s maiden name was Truax.
  • According to producer James Tucker, the Kid Flash seen in Teen Titans: The Judas Contract‘s flashback is actually supposed to be Barry Allen, not Wally West.
  • Turning Red:
  • The directors of Zootopia often discuss minutiae about the film on Twitter and they have at least once accepted a fan’s suggestion for a minor character’s name.
  • Unicorn Wars: Thanks to interviews with the movie creator, a lot of info on the characters and lore was revealed that was not in the movie here, here and here.
    • The creator uses a different representation of unicorns than the traditional one. In this film, unicorns are portrayed as wild animals with a healing role but do not hesitate to defend themselves or attack when threatened. The creator sees the unicorns as something akin to a pack of wolves rather than the pure white or infantile image they have been given throughout history. All unicorns are female, and the fact that they are silhouetted gives them a more mysterious aspect.
    • All the unicorns are female
    • According to the creator, UNICORN WARS looks like a fable or a fairy tale, but in reality, it is an antifable with no moral, i.e., a dark fable for adults and with a contemporary language and narrative that has its own mythology.
    • The monster that appears at the beginning and end of the film functions as a prologue and an epilogue. Its serving as a metaphor for whats coming later. The monster for me is a God without a form; a God adored as a leader, but a God thats still yet to evolve. When the end comes, the God takes shape, and the prophecy of the book of the bears is fulfilled.

    Music

  • It’s often speculated that the Generation X/Billy Idol song «Dancing with Myself» is about masturbation, but according to Idol, no, it really is about actually dancing without a partner (he claims he was inspired by a Japanese disco where the patrons chose to dance in front of mirrors, rather than with each other). The clip shows him dancing by himself because everybody else died and became zombies.
  • Unusually for Bob Dylan, he has officially confirmed the subject of his song «Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands» — it’s about his wife Sara. (See his song ‘Sara’ which contains the lyric ‘Writing Sad Eyed Lady for you’.)
  • The website Rap Genius, which allows users to provide analysis of rap songs, also allows for musicians/producers to provide insight on the lyrics.
  • Paul McCartney officially confirmed in his 1998 book Many Years From Now that one of his Beatles songs, «Got To Get You Into My Life», is about his love for marijuana.
  • The website For Everyone Now, which daily discloses new artists and hits with lyrics and videos.
  • sasakure.UK’s live broadcast on June 1, 2016 reveals that Nagare is the name of the boy in a gakuran in the Ayakashi series.

    Newspaper Comics

  • When he was asked about the gender of his character Krazy Kat, George Herriman is quoted as having said:

«I don’t know. I fooled around with it once; began to think the Kat is a girl, even drew up some strips with her being pregnant. It wasn’t the Kat any more. Then I realized Krazy was something like a sprite, an elf. They have no sex. So the Kat can’t be a he or a she. The Kat’s a spirit- a pixie- free to butt into anything. See what I mean?»

    • Despite this, the 1962 animated series made Krazy explicitly female, to avoid controversy.
  • Concerning the middle initial of Olivier B. Bommel, Oliver B. Bumble for the anglophones, there is a historic disagreement of Words of Gods, it was declared to be short for «Berendinus» on the letter page of the Tom Poes weekly magazine by an editor, but the author and creator stated clearly that the B. was just an initial.

    Tabletop Games

  • The CCG Yu-Gi-Oh! game has what’s known as «BKSS — Because Konami Said So», a phenomenon where certain cards are given rulings that make no sense whatsoever, but are rendered iron-clad enforceable, because Konami — the game’s creator — said that’s how it went. At one point, UDE, the English Yu-Gi-Oh distributor, refused to administer a ruling on the card «Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster» that completely contradicted the card’s text itself; when this discrepancy was pointed out to them, even Konami themselves admitted that the ruling was in error, yet still refused to change it.
  • Magic: The Gathering has a seasonally updated database that updates the wording of every card in the game, to the point that year-old cards already have official wordings that differ from what is printed on the cards. While these changes do not usually affect how the cards work, every so often the game is given a major overhaul that changes many things at once. Changes to timing rules with the advent of 6th Edition, the Grand Creature Type Update of 2007, and the changes to combat rules and terminology for Magic 2010 come to mind.
    • The card Time Vault. For many years, Wizards of the Coast had evoked errata to curb card power and keep what were considered the ‘functional intent’ cards in place. After sweeping cleanup of power controlling errata on other cards, Time Vault continued to suffer with such errata under the claim that it was the functional intent of the card. Eventually, a player was able to address Richard Garfield, creator of Magic, about the card. Garfield confirmed the card was supposed to function as it was originally printed. The errata was fully undone shortly afterwards.
  • Gary Gygax, in the years before his death, went onto a number of Internet forums and served as something of a Word of God in that he offered rules clarifications and design justifications for the Dungeons & Dragons rules system he created.
  • Another example in D&D comes from Keith Baker’s presence on the official Dungeons and Dragons forums, where he goes by the handle HellCow. As creator of the Eberron Campaign Setting, his posts regarding the world of Eberron are largely taken as «Word of God» for the setting, though he purposefully makes sure that he is ambiguous enough that DMs can make their own choices on how they want their world to run.
  • GURPS has the «Word of Kromm», referring to the rule interpretations of Sean Punch who not only designed much of the third and fourth editions but is the editor of all official material put out for the game.
  • After going «it’s only the most popular theory» for dozens of books, in the Gehenna book White Wolf make it very clear: Caine was the first vampire.
  • The writers for Exalted appear regularly on both the White Wolf forums and rpgnet and say a great deal…or, more often, offer a few tidbits for a forthcoming release while giggling and waving non-disclosure agreements. Here and here are collections of said Words, the latter skewing more towards the current writing team.
  • 2E Mutants & Masterminds had a forum for system developer Steve Kenson to answer the questions of the players although he often answered questions indicating that a particular ruling was only his opinion in his games.
  • Almost everything we know about the backstory and lore of Sentinels of the Multiverse is this. Christopher and Adam, the games creators, hold a podcast called The Letters Page talking about the lore of heroes, villains, environments, and more. New episodes come out twice a week on tuesdays and thursdays.

    Theatre

  • Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot:
    • He told Colin Duckworth that Pozzo is not Godot. The statement is quoted in the introduction to Duckworths En attendant Godot
    • He also said numerous times that «Godot is not God».

    TV Tropes

  • The page quote for Becky Lynch’s «Awesome» page comes from The Man herself. The image posted with this tweet, since replaced, featured a bloodied Lynch.

    Web Original

  • Tales of MU has a lot of this, possibly driven by the blog format.
  • Stuart Slade, author of The Salvation War, will answer any serious question about the logistics of his versions of Hell and Heaven and their relationship with our universe that isn’t explicitly spelled out in the story itself. None of these are necessary to following the story, but they do make a great display of how much thought he puts into it.
  • Sam Hughes, the author of Fine Structure has a page devoted to Q&A with the readers. During the original run of the story, he also clarified certain points as they were raised.
  • The Tim Tang Test, the hardest puzzle in the world (no-one has ever solved it!) has a chat box at the bottom of each level that lets you talk to anyone else taking the test. Almost every single day, Tim himself is on the chat box and is available to talk about anything.
  • Serris, the creator of the Darwin’s Soldiers universe will answer any questions raised on the discussion topic and issue proclamations with regards to the canon as well. Also, he has stated that the anthros were not human to begin with.
  • Burnie Burns, writer of Red vs. Blue, gave the community the chance to conduct two interviews just for this purpose, so long as nobody asked questions about Tex or future episodes. It is unclear whether or not that helped, though — some of the fan community believes his adherence to Rule of Funny makes Wild Mass Guessing a fruitless endeavor, while others simply believe that Burnie lies.
  • The author of Chaos Fighters sometimes gives random explanations about random things in the Random Chaos Fighters Tidbit entries of his personal journal.
  • Due to its audio-only nature, Welcome to Night Vale often requires Word of God for basic clarification. The FAQ section on the Commonplace Books website provides a helpful guide on spelling the names of the characters. Woe upon those who try to spell Khoshekh without their assistance.
  • Many statements of canon in We Are All Pokmon Trainers are often made either in the discussion thread, the wiki, or within the chatroom.
  • When Matthew Santoro was asked by a fan why he no longer uses Lorrenzo and Big Shine, his In-Universe clones, as characters, he said that they no longer reside in Canada and have moved to Florida.
  • In Kid Time Storytime, the Storyteller Eileen has confirmed many things over the YouTube comments:
  • A rare In-Universe example in The Trial Of Tim Heidecker. Tim pays Nicholas Meyer to travel to San Bernardino as a defense witness, solely for the purpose of settling a bet with Gregg whether Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan or Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home is the one set in San Francisco.

    Art

  • The Seven Deadly Sins (Dix):
    • Dix claims that he didn’t add the mustache to Envy, which is based on Hitler, until after the war for fear of what the Nazis would have done to him.
    • Dix’s commentary adds a further layer to Sloth. It specifically represents the German people’s complacency during Fascism’s rising tyranny.

    Comic Books

  • Scott Lobdell himself stated he was very surprised at the amount of controversy the first issue of Red Hood and the Outlaws caused. He goes on to say that he doesn’t see why people see Starfire as an ADD-stricken Ethical Slut. He also assures disgruntled readers to keep reading, as answers will be revealed later, not that this has stopped some people from dropping the book outright.

     Fan Works

  • Paradoxus (Winx Club, World of Warcraft): All of the information in the Trivia tab was obtained by asking Bloom_Farella (who in turn consulted the other authors) through either comments or private messaging.
    • Among the things she has stated, there are the characters’ alignments. Following the tradition of Dungeons & Dragons, goodness is defined by putting everyone’s well-being about oneself’s whereas evilness means pursuing one’s benefit to the detriment of others. On the other hand, lawful characters tend to seek to restore the pre-war order of Magix’s society while lawless/chaotic characters forgo any semblance of rules and societal order in order to accomplish their goals. Consequently, these would be the alignments:
      • Even though Trisha and Altalune aim to end the war (thus working for everyone’s benefit), the two sisters start out as Lawful Neutral because of the methods they had to resource to. Respectively, burning one of Domino’s cities to prevent Fel from spreading and manipulating her little sister to shape her into a ruthless queen. Furthermore, Altalune blamed Trisha for their mother’s death as a coping mechanism. As the plot progresses, Trisha falls into Chaotic Neutral after her FaceHeel Turn — she’s fueled by revenge and ravages cities but ultimately kills off the people who caused the war. Altalune, on her part, develops into a True Neutral — she’s stopped caring about pretty much everything but her loved ones and herself, using both lawful and chaotic approaches as she sees fit.
      • Initially, Stacy is a solid Lawful Good mostly because she was spared from the most morally questionable decisions by virtue of still having a loving father. Later, she experiences lots of doubts but finally settles on Lawful Neutral. Lawful because she has decided to embrace the Sacred Light as her moral guiding and neutral due to the war forcing her hand into more dubious methods.
      • Gilliam and Zoe start out and remain as Lawful Good.
    • Paradoxus shares a few significant worldbuilding snippets with another one of Bloom_Farella’s fanfics, Dragon’s Daughters. For instance, queens are in charge of internal and external defense affairs while kings administer economic and political matters. This is because women are inherently much more attuned to magic (the Great Dragon said so) and therefore, better suited to command the military and maintain the peace.

    Live-Action TV

  • Doctor Who:
    • The episode «The Brain of Morbius» shows the faces of several actors who, depending on your interpretation of the scene, may be Doctors predating the canonical first Doctor. Despite the fact that the canon is very clear on the fact that the Doctor’s lives are all accounted for, some people on the production staff have affirmed that they intended the faces to be earlier Doctors. This was eventually made canon onscreen in «The Timeless Children», making these people retroactively right.
    • What today is regarded as canon was actually only settled on relatively late in the day. For example, it wasn’t even established during «The Brain of Morbius» that Time Lords are limited to twelve regenerations (that was first mentioned in «The Deadly Assassin», broadcast the following year). Terrance Dicks, onetime script editor of Doctor Who and the man who introduced the concept of the Time Lords themselves to the show, famously once stated that ‘canon was what the production team could remember on any given day.’
    • When «The End of Time» aired, there was considerable dispute over the true identity of The Woman who kept showing up. Russell T. Davies has confirmed that she is in fact meant to be the Doctor’s mother, although they intentionally left it open to interpretation.
  • Creator of the tragically short lived Pushing Daisies Bryan Fuller revealed how he envisioned the show ending in a TV Guide interview: Emerson gets back together with his wife. The watches only led to a buried treasure and had no bearing on Ned’s powers. The world finds out about Chuck and she goes off and travels with her parents to hide from the attention. She and Ned have a long, loving relationship. Many, many years later they finally kiss when Ned is on his deathbed and Chuck hasn’t aged a day.
  • Battlestar Galactica (2003) has occasionally relied on this, such as producer Mark Verheiden confirming that Six was released from prison as part of President Lee Adama’s amnesty to the rebel and Final Five Cylons in the episode «Revelations». At times, the Word of God has simply made things more confused. In the episode «Hero» it is stated that Tigh and Adama served on the battlestar Valkyrie one year before the series begins and were moved to Galactica as punishment after a vital mission failed. This contradicts statements made in several other episodes that Adama had commanded Galactica for 2-3 years prior to the series. And worse still, a document seen on-screen in the very same episode suggested he’d actually been in command of Galactica for six years. When asked about the problem, producer Ronald D. Moore said there wasn’t a problem, they’d worked it out behind the scenes and it all tracked, but didn’t share this explanation with fans, leaving the situation unresolved. Many people resolve this by assuming they were moved back to Galactica from active duty on the Valkyrie, the punishment being command of an inactive ship.
  • Power Rangers:
    • Power Rangers RPM: is stated to take place in an Alternate Universe, separate from the other Ranger series. Good thing too, or else that would have meant all the previous Rangers and/or their descendants would have been horribly killed in the end and all their work for naught. This was later canonized when Scott crossed dimensions and guest-starred in Power Rangers Samurai.
    • On a lighter note, Tommy really does end up marrying Kat and Kimberly eventually marries Skull, although for obvious reasons, those little tidbits are all but ignored. Even when such relationships should get referenced in later series, the subject never comes up (Tommy’s a regular in Dino Thunder but apparently still single, Skull’s son appears in Samurai but his mom is never mentioned).
    • Also, Power Rangers S.P.D. had the writers explain a lot of things that had not been competently conveyed in the series itself.
    • Johnathan Tzachor, producer of the franchise for all of Saban’s seasons, has claimed that any season he didn’t produce either in part or full (Power Rangers Ninja Storm, Power Rangers: Dino Thunder, Power Rangers S.P.D., Power Rangers Mystic Force, Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, Power Rangers Jungle Fury and Power Rangers RPM) are no longer considered as being part of the franchise’s canon. However, in this case he’s been overruled by Saban.
  • There was some speculation that the Father Ted character Father Noel Furlong, a youth group leader, was having sex with the young people in his charge and was therefore a comment on paedophillia in the Catholic Church. (The fact that the character was played by Graham Norton helped this view). The creators have confirmed that the character is actually asexual and the joke is that the character is too enthusiastic about the quite normal behaviour of the young people.
  • A strange example of this trope is Twin Peaks, as creator David Lynch has stated that he does not support the identity of Laura Palmer’s killer being her father, as he was a victim to Executive Meddling, and wanted the mystery of the killer to go on for the entire series. He therefore claims that the killer could be anybody.

    Newspaper Comics

  • Charles Schulz of Peanuts stated that Linus’ belief in the Great Pumpkin is not and was never intended to be a metaphor for faith. Strips later in the run (featuring such things as Linus going door to door to spread the word of the Great Pumpkin, convincing Marcie before she is sent to be «deprogrammed» by her parents) suggest he was open to playing with the idea. Other issues for which Schulz gave official answers include stating that the comic strip was canon and the animated specials and movies weren’t, explaining how Snoopy can sleep on top of his doghouse (his ears lock him into place), confirming that Charlie Brown isn’t bald (he has really short blond hair), and perhaps indirectly the Peppermint Patty-Marcie-lesbian issue (when asked whether he ever dealt with sexuality in Peanuts, he said «These are just little kids. That really puts a lid on it right there.»)

    Tabletop Games

  • Warhammer 40,000 creator Rick Priestly has confirmed that the two «missing» Primarchs exist to provide fodder for player-created Space Marine chapters and Chaos Space Marine Legions, and will never be identified.

    Other

  • BIONICLE story writer Greg Farshtey kept a close relationship with the fan community. Not only did Greg provide answers for any question a fan might have had, but he sometimes distributed advance information and occasionally allowed fans to influence canon details, ranging from names of obscure characters to giving visual designs to characters who had no merch. After the franchise ended in 2010 and LEGO’s rules restricted Greg’s connection to the fans to specific websites, he still kept revealing planned story ideas and approving fan-made character models, up until his departure from the company in 2022.
  • When Matthew Santoro was asked which of his clones would win in a fight to the death, he said that surprisingly, it would be Eugene, the nerd — despite being physically weak, he would be able to build something like a tank to defend himself, because he’s the only clone intelligent enough to do so.
  • An unusual in-universe and The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You example in Daisy Brown; someone uses YouTube closed captions to give some weird introspective insights into Daisy’s life and state of being. Some of the more disturbing ones include Daisy (probably, maybe) remembering (or at least interpreting) her mother’s Death by Childbirth and her father in vicious denial of it.
  • The infamous «Mollusks, snails» image is known for appearing in DeviantArt search results thanks to a number of «tags» in the description. When asked about the tags, the original poster, Ger-hard, claimed that he was in some sort of competition with another Deviant who posted a photo of a roadside traffic sign with the same type of description to see who could get closest to the top in as many searches as possible.

“God” is a title that is used for the Almighty, which is used in several different religions. The question is, where did the name or title come from, and why is it exalted in these different religions?

who is god - Thoughtful manIn fact, if one looks at the Hebrew manuscripts from which the Bible was translated, we see that the word “God” is not there. The word is Aluahym (ancient Hebrew), or Elohiym (modern Hebrew).

The name of the Most High is there in a Tetragrammaton, translated as YHUH (some write it as YHVH or YHWH). This is transliterated as YAHUAH (pronounced YAHOO-WAH).

Yahuah ancient paleo hebrew

LOST IN TRANSLATION

However, in translating the manuscripts, the Gentiles inserted the word “God” instead of Elohiym and “the Lord” instead of YAHUAH. This replacement of the Most High’s name and titles was done over 7000 times.

This is why Just a Word does not use those words (God and Lord), and instead use Aluahym or Elohym for “God” and YAHUAH instead of “the Lord.” We don’t believe we should learn the way of the heathen (Jer 10:2) because all the gods of the heathens are idols (Psa 96:5)

Funny enough, that sometimes gets us accused of changing the word. Unfortunately, most don’t know that we are actually restoring the names to where they were before the scriptures were polluted. But that is another matter, let us not digress…

I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH

We must never ever take anything for granted when it comes to the translation of the scripture. We were warned that the lying pen of the scribe would affect our understanding of the word (. Unfortunately, most of us innocently take what is given to us without questioning it. However, we had been warned…

Jer 8:8 (GNB)  How can you say that you are wise and that you know my laws? Look, the laws have been changed by dishonest scribes.

Indeed, not many seem to question the prophecy that Satan will strive to be like YAHUAH. We should never forget this prophecy:

Isa 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohiym: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH.

In those verses, it was prophesied that Satan would exalt himself to be like the Most High. Wake up from the drunken stupor of religion people! Shouldn’t a change of name then be suspicious? Remember:

1Th 5:21 (GNB)  Put all things to the test: keep what is good

GAD, GAWD OR GUD REVEALED IN THE BIBLE

So, let’s put “God” to the test! But first, let me ask you a question.

Would you be surprised if I told you that the “God” the whole world worships is none other than the god of fortune called Gad (pronounced Gawd), also known as Gawd and Gud?

Moreover, would you be surprised if I tell you that it is revealed right there in the Bible hidden before our very eyes?

Bear in mind that those who refuse to prove all things (1 Thess 5:21) will be destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6).

Interestingly, the following verse will show us the fallacy of making a Bible translation our idol.

You see, some say King James version only and all other translations are of the devil!

Well, those who prove all things should know that all translations are tainted in some way or the other. The Bible was not translated by Israelites, but by Gentiles, who worship devils or demons (Psalms 96:5. 1 Cor 10:20).

Bible Study Resources Post Banner Ad

Their translations are therefore to give honour to these devils. None of their translations is therefore perfect. So let us see how they hide Gad in the KJV.

ISAIAH 65:11 (KING JAMES VERSION)

To find out how the King James Version translators hid Gad (yes hid, as they are Gentile idolaters), we have to look across 3 different translations. First, the good old King James version.

Isa 65:11  But ye are they that forsake YAHUAH, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number

Isa 65:12  Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

The focus verse is verse 11.

I included verse 12 to show that it is nothing good to be worshipping THAT TROOP or THAT NUMBER (whoever that troop and that number are).

So let us lay out verse 11 in the KJV again:

Isa 65:11  But ye are they that forsake YAHUAH, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.

Our 2 focus words here are:

  1. THAT TROOP
  2. THAT NUMBER

ISAIAH 65:11 (ENGLISH STANDARD VERSION)

Now, let us go to the ESV, which gives us even more insight into who that troop and that number are:

Isa 65:11  But you who forsake YAHUAH, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for Fortune and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny,

There we see instead of that troop and that number, we have:

  1. FORTUNE
  2. DESTINY

Also very important, is that both Fortune and Destiny begin with a capital letter, which means the translators are dropping us hints that these are proper names or nouns (names of people, animals, places or things).

ISAIAH 65:11 (GOOD NEWS BIBLE)

Now let us go to the GNB to get even more revelation!

Isa 65:11  “But it will be different for you that forsake me, who ignore Zion, my sacred hill, and worship Gad and Meni, the gods of luck and fate.

  1. GAD
  2. MENI

There we have it!

Between the 3 translations, it is telling us that Israel worshipped Gad, who is the aluahym of FORTUNE or luck and Meni, the aluahym of fate or destiny.

This devil/demon called Gad (pronounced Gawd) is who the world worships under the name God (often pronounced Gawd as well).

The King James translators gave us “that troop” and “that number” instead of telling us they were speaking about Gad. Why?

Because Gad is the “God” whom they gave us in their translation when they translated the word Aluahym or Elohiym into God (Gad)!

Therefore, by worshipping and calling upon God, you are worshipping or calling upon the god of fortune or luck.

Incidentally, that is why we have the term GOOD luck because Gad is also called Gud! The Scandinavian languages, like the old Anglo-Saxon, called god gud.

That is also why Christians say “God is good, all the time, and all the time God is good.” They are indeed correct! “God” is “Gud” (Gad), the god of fortune/luck. Gud (pronounced: good) is the Scandinavian rendering of Gad.

MORE ABOUT GAD AND MENI

The following is an excerpt from a detailed study about Baal Gad (the Lord God) and Meni by Yahuah Kingdom.

The astrologers identified Gad with Jupiter (Zeus/Yahweh/Jehovah) the Sky-deity or the Sun-deity. Other sources of research also testify of “Gad” being the Sun-deity. Rev. Alexander Hislop wrote, “There is reason to believe that Gad refers to the Sun-god …

The name Gad … is applicable to Nimrod, whose general character was that of a Sun-god … Thus then, if Gad was the ‘Sun divinity’, Meni was very naturally regarded as ‘The Lord Moon.’

” Keil and Delitzsch, Commentaries on the Old Testament, comments on Isaiah 65:11, “There can be no doubt, therefore, that Gad, the god of good fortune, … is Baal (Bel) as the god of good fortune. … this is the deified planet Jupiter … Gad is Jupiter (Zeus/Yahweh/Jehovah) … Mene is Dea Luna …

Rosenmuller very properly traces back the Scriptural rendering to this Egyptian view, according to which Gad is the Sun-god, and Meni the lunar goddess as the power of fate.”

Isaiah 65:11 tells us that Yahuah’s people have forsaken Him and in the end-time are found to be serving Gad, the Sun-deity of “Good Luck”, and Meni, the Moon-deity of “Destiny”.

MORE ABOUT GOD

God was a common Teutonic-Germanic word that was applied to superhuman beings of heathen mythologies. Later the word God was adopted by Christianity as the generic name for their Supreme Being.

It has become the most popular translation for the Hebrew word ALUAH/ALMIGHTY-ONE. As a result, most of Christendom believes that the Name for ALUAH/ALMIGHTY-ONE is God and does not know that the personal Name of the Father is actually Yahuah.

Gad was identified with Jupiter, the Sun-deity, and applied to Nimrod whose general character was that of a Sun-god or Sun-divinity. Gud was the Anglo-Saxon name for “good god vs evil god.

That’s where the Christian phrase “we have a good God” comes from. Additionally, Luck & Fortune are words that originate from the Sun-deity “Lucifer.”Luck is a nickname for Lucifer.

The idea of having luck and good fortune is not Scriptural, and the basic form of witchcraft.

THE GODS OF THE NATIONS ARE IDOLS

But why though? Why would they conceal Gad? Why do they want us to worship their false deity? Here is why:

Psa 96:5  For ALL the gods of the nations are idols: but YAHUAH made the heavens.

All their gods are idols!

So when they got hold of the manuscripts and had the power to translate it as they wished, they translated in the names of their Gods (all their gods are idols).

THE JESUS LIE

Hence they also translated in “Jesus (Zeus) Christ (Krishna)” and “the LORD” (Baal).

They tell us for example, that Jesus is the English transliteration of Yahusha. However, that is a blatant lie. The English transliteration of Yahusha is Joshua.

Yahusha was the proper Hebrew name of Joshua, the son of Nun who led the children of Israel into the promised land. Not strange therefore that Yahusha HaMashiach (Joshua, not Jesus) will return to lead the children of Israel back into the promised land.

Jesus is a blatant lie! Jesus is Esus, the Gaelic/Celtic deity, mixed with Serapis and Jupiter/Zeus, the chief of gods, the chief demon. That is why we are told to worship the Messiah as the Most High!

THE GENTILES HATE YAHUAH

What’s more, these nations hate the Most High Alauhym of Israel, so so why then would they have a desire to worship him?:

Psa 83:2  For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. Psa 83:5  For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: Psa 83:6  The tabernacles of Edom (who gave us Christianity), and the Ishmaelites (who gave us Islam); of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

So it is not strange then, that apostle Sha’ul told us this secret in 1 Cor 10:20 that is hidden from us today. We generally believe the people who gave us Christianity really do worship the Aluahym of Israel, don’t we?

Sorry, they don’t.

They hate YAHUAH and his people Israel, and as a result?:

1 Cor 10:20  But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to YAHUAH: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

THE GENTILES NEVER CHANGE THEIR GODS

What’s more, these nations NEVER change their gods!!!

Jer 2:11  Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

The only people who will change their gods is Israel!

By the way, do you want more proof that they will never ever change their gods?

THEY WILL NEVER STOP WORSHIPING THEIR GODS

Now even when Messiah returns and is ruling in the millennial kingdom, these people will STILL be worshipping their idols/gods/devils/demons!!! I have included verses 3 and 4 below to show the context that this will be the Messiah’s millennial reign. However, verse 5 is where the “action” is:

Mic 4:3-4  And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of YAHUAH TSAVA’OTH hath spoken it

.Mic 4:5  For all people (nations) will walk every one in the name of his god, and we (children of Israel) will walk in the name of YAHUAH our Aluahym for ever and ever.

So the nations will continue to not change their Gods, while Israel will walk in the name of OUR Aluahym. That OUR shows ownership: YAHUAH is Israel’s Aluahym and none else (Joel 2:27)!

By the way, that is why they will be forced to come up to the feast of tabernacles annually. If they don’t, they will be punished:

Zec_14:16  And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, YAHUAH TSAVA’OTH and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Zec_14:18  And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith YAHUAH will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION

So the million dollar question is: if all the gods of these people are idols, and they hate the Most High YAHUAH TSAVA’OTH the Aluahym of Israel, and sacrifice to devils, and will not change their gods (devils), even when the Messiah returns in power and is ruling the earth, do you expect them to give you a translation that honours YAHUAH TSAVA’OTH, the Aluahym of Israel (who they hate)?

If your answer to that question is yes, you expect them to give you a clean translation, then you are either dumb, deaf, blind or simply stupid. Or as we say in Jamaica, “you must be “fool fool.””

SATAN HAS DECEIVED THE WHOLE WORLD

So, Satan has used his Gentile children to exalt his throne in his quest to be like the Most High (Isaiah 14:14). As a result, the whole Christian religion (most do so ignorantly) worships Satan in the names of “God” or “Jesus Christ” or “the Lord.”

That shouldn’t be surprising to us though. Do we think the following verse was uttered in vain?

Rev_12:9  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Satan has deceived the WHOLE WORLD! Let that sink in.

Who is God - YAHUAH vs Christian deity

The whole world now refers to the creator as “God” and worships “God” under one of his many names. Among these names are God, Gawd, The Lord, Jesus Christ, Jehovah, Yahweh.

What groups all those names together? Universalism.

Now each of these names of god just mentioned stands behind a universal “god of everyone.” They will all tell you god is the god of everyone or of everyone in the world. Now let this sink in as well: any deity that is the Aluahym of everybody (all nations of the world) is the same universal god/Gad.

Let’s see why.

UNIVERSAL GOD: MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOD AND THE ALUAHYM OF ISRAEL

Now, what is the main difference between the Aluahym of Israel and God? In the video at the top of this post, I gave 19 differences between “God” and the Aluahym of Israel.

But what is the one main difference? Well, here it is:

God is the mighty one (god) of everyone, the whole world. Those who want to join themselves to him simply join a RELIGION. You become a Christian in one of its over 40,000 denominations.

On the other hand, YAHUAH TAVA’OTH is the mighty one of Israel, and Israel only (Joel 2:27). The Bible says, he has an inheritance for his people (not a religion), and he will send his son to gather back his people (not a religion) in the last days. To join oneself to YAHUAH, one has to join themself to ISRAEL (Isaiah 56:6-8), not to a religion!

Big, big, difference.

GOD/SATAN: THE GOD OF THIS WORLD

2Co 4:3-4  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god (Gad/God/Satan) of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Messiah, who is the image of YAHUAH, should shine unto them.

There we see, on the one hand, we have the god of this world, and on the other hand, we have YAHUAH.

Satan, through his religions which honour “God” blinds the minds of those who refuse to believe the truth so they cannot see the true gospel.

This is how YAHUAH gives them over to a STRONG DELUSION because they refuse to believe the truth (Psalms 119:142, John 14:6), but continue to love man’s religions:

2Th 2:9-12 (GNB) The Wicked One will come with the power of Satan and perform all kinds of false miracles and wonders, and use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth (Psalms 119:142, John 14:6) so as to be saved.

And so YAHUAH sends the power of error to work in them so that they believe what is false. The result is that all who have not believed the truth, but have taken pleasure in sin (breaking the law – 1 John 3:4), will be condemned.

THE ALUAHYM OF ISRAEL AND NONE ELSE!

YAHUAH is the Aluahym of Israel and none else!

Joe 2:27  And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am YAHUAH your Aluahym, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Why can’t we get this? The Bible is about nations, and he never claimed to be the Aluahym of any other nation.

Anyone who has faith to join YAHUAH through obedience to his covenant can join themselves to YAHUAH by joining themselves to HIS PEOPLE (Isa 56:6-8) through belief in his son (John 14:6) and obedience to the truth (Psalms 119:142) by walking as the Messiah walked (1 John 2:6).

They do not join themselves to YAHUAH by following nor adhering to a religion!

UNIVERSALISM: WHERE DID THE GOD OF EVERYBODY COME FROM?

The universal “God” comes from Catholicism. Catholic means universal. The idea is to unite the world under one “God” and under a religion of man so man can control the world according to man’s own desires.

Of course, this is in direct rebellion to YAHUAH, who is sending his son to rule on earth in his almighty righteous kingdom. YAHUAH is one (Deuteronomy 6:4), but they have many gods.

That is why so many millions have been killed throughout the ages by the Catholic religion of Christianity. Its aim is world dominance and control at all costs.

That is also why it is not strange that they have told us so many lies in their false religions! They do not intend to tell you the truth: they simply intend to control your minds, and hence control your actions while at the same time get you to worship their gods (devils/demons)!

LATEST VIDEO ON THE QUESTION: “IS YAHUSHA YAHUAH?

CONCLUSION: WHO IS THIS UNIVERSAL GOD OF EVERYBODY?

“God” therefore is the uniter of the world. However, does the Most High unite nations and peoples?

Deu 32:8-9  When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For YAHUAH’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

The Most High separates and sets apart his people from other nations. Satan unites them under God. This is such a critical understanding, if you do not get it, you cannot truly understand the Bible!

The Bible is for Israelites and is about their Aluahym, YAHUAH TSAVA’OTH. If they or anyone else is looking on it as being about “God,” the god of everyone, their whole understanding will be twisted.

That is why people cannot understand that Gentiles who will be in the kingdom with the children of Israel will be the servants or slaves of the children of Israel. It is plainly stated several times in the Bible, but people refuse to accept it. Why? Because they believe the Most High is the Aluahym of everyone!

No, no no. He is the Aluahym of Yashar’al (Israel) and NONE ELSE (Joel 2:27)!

Once you get that understanding that the Bible is about the Aluahym of Israel and not “God” and that the Bible is about a nation of people and not a religion, then you can begin to see the truth coming out of scripture. If not, you will continue to be duped by Satan, who continues to deceive the whole world through his false names!

So what do we need to do? Come out from among them.

2Co 6:16-17  And what agreement hath the temple of Aluahym with idols? for ye are the temple of the living Aluahym; as YAHUAH hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their Aluahym, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith YAHUAH, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

19 DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE CHRISTIAN “GOD” AND YAHUAH THE ELOHIYM OF ISRAEL

Who is God? Indeed, it gets even more intriguing when we look at what is revealed in this video. I highlighted 19 differences between the Christian “God” and YAHUAH TSEVA’OTH, the Elohiym of Israel (the Elohiym of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the TRUE Elohiym of the Bible).

Watch the video that is at the beginning of this post, as we look at the question: Who is “God?” In the end, you should see that in answer to the question, who is God, without a doubt, that “God” is not the same as YAHUAH.

Wake up! Don’t be left behind: this is the awakening of the dry bones of the whole house of Israel (Ezekiel 37:1-14). Flee Babylon (Christianity), and save your soul (Jer 51:5-6)!

Come out from among them, and be ye separate (set apart).

The Word of God is the mind of God, someone well said.

Have you ever felt far away from the Lord? Have you ever asked yourself if God has an answer for your situation?

As I said in my previous posts, I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian family. And one of my first memories with my father was with him reading his Bible. I can picture in my mind the big black Bible he used to read. Moreover, every morning I wake up, he was there in the living room with a cup of coffee and reading. And many of his pages were marked with his notes and mediations from the Lord.

Ever since I became a believer, I wake up early every morning, make myself a coffee and open up my Bible. To begin with, my father never told me to wake up in the morning and read the Bible— or drink coffee. However, through his life, my father was (and still is) an example for me to follow.

I believe we all need to draw closer to God. And when you want to draw closer to God, first you need to draw closer to the Word of God. Indeed, the Word of God is what we call the Bible or the Holy Scriptures.

Talking about the Bible, D. L. Moody said

I think I would rather preach about the Word of God than anything else except the love of God because I believe it is the best thing in the world.

However, often we do not see things like Moody

He also said

A genuine spiritual revitalization that will last must come through the Word of God.

Therefore, if you think you need to revitalize your spiritual life, start loving the Bible because that is how you will get to know the Author of the Bible.

The ultimate purpose of every believer is to become more like Jesus. Indeed, there is no higher aim in this life! For this reason, the logo for my blog is ‘Becoming more like Jesus by living the Spirit-formed life.’

However, remember that the Spirit of God will use the Word of God to make us more like the Son of God. A person that is filled with the Holy Spirit will love the Bible and will ask for the grace to practice God’s Word. Because the Word of God is not the word of men and it should be treated with the proper respect. Needless to say, we all respect God in the same measure we respect His Word!

What are some of the benefits of believing the Bible as God’s Word? Let me share with you five benefits:

1. The Word of God will nourish your soul

Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 (TLV)

But He replied, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Also, in Jeremiah 15:16a (TLV) we read

Your words were found, so I ate them. Your words were a delight to me and the joy of my heart.

We are supposed to feed on the Word of God! We take so good care of our bodies that we have just for a short while, and often our inner man that is to live forever is weak and starved! Those who nourish their inner man daily in God’s Word are those who grow and become mature believers. And nothing else can really feed your inner man!

2. The Word of God will teach you how to pray

Prayer begins in the Bible! We would know how to pray better if we would know our Bibles better! Moody said it so well:

When I pray, I talk to God, but when I read the Bible, God is talking to me; and it is really more important that God should speak to me than that I should speak to Him.

The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. Therefore, let us use our sword in prayer and pray the Word of God for the people and for ourselves.

3. The Word of God will give you direction

Just like God’s Law was to guide Joshua as he entered the land of Canaan, so the Word of God directs us, as it is said in Psalm 119:105 (TLV)

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path

The Bible is the only one who points us to heaven, and that can guide us in our journey of life. It is not safe to travel without a map and a plan in life. Therefore, God gave you and me His Word to direct us to Himself and away from the enemy of our souls.

4. The Word of God will provide you with peace

Psalm 119:165 (TLV) says

Great peace have they who love Your Torah, and nothing causes them to stumble.

All the believers that are rooted and grounded in the Word of God have peace in their hearts. Furthermore, when storms come into their lives they do not shake, because they know in whom they trust. And they know that God always keeps His Word and can trust His Word in any situation.

5. The Word of God will reveal God to you

Jesus said in John 5:39 (TLV)

You search the Scriptures because you suppose that in them you have eternal life. It is these that testify about Me.

Here, in the context, Jesus was referring to the Old Testament Scriptures. And basically, Jesus said that every verse talks about Him. Therefore, when we study the Bible, our duty is to find Jesus in every verse. If you want to see if your understanding is accurate, then in every verse you need to see Jesus.

Now what?

The holy Scriptures are first thing first— holy, because they are written by a holy God, by the Holy Spirit. They are the sacred Words of God. And in the Word of God, you can find the answer to any question you have. Ask the Author— the Holy Spirit— to guide you through it to the solution you need.

I could say a lot more, but I want to close with another quote from D. L. Moody:

If you are impatient, sit down quietly and commune with Job. If you are strong-headed, read about Moses and Peter. If you lack courage, look at Elijah. If there is no song in your heart, listen to David. If you are a politician, read Daniel. If you are morally corrupt, read Isaiah. If your heart is cold, read of the beloved disciple John. If your faith is low, read Paul. If you are getting lazy, learn from James. If you are losing sight of the future, read in Revelation of the Promised Land.

Let us read the Word of God and allow the Word of God to read our lives too! So, treasure your Bible as if your life depends on it because it does.

But God told me exactly what I have to do
He told me exactly what I had to do
God told me exactly, word for word, verbatim, what I have to do
He showed me exactly what I have to d-

We learn as Christians to follow the Word of God. My own chosen nickname (aliveintheword) shows how important I believe that to be. But just what is “The Word of God?

The Holy Bible of course is the foundation. In another blog, I spoke of the Logos, the logical and comprehensive Word of God, and the Rhema, the sayings of God which comprise the passages contained in the Bible.

In Genesis 1, we see where God created the universe with His spoken word. And in the beginning was The Word (John 1:1). The laws of nature, discovered or being discovered by science are also “The Word of God.” Theree is a great deal of information in a book by Lee Strobel entitled “The Case for Creation.” In this book, Strobel shows how science is not disproving, but in fact demonstrating the existence of God.

I am by training and profession (at least in part) a statistician. To not complicate things too much, let me just say that the statistical chances of all of the things that have to work together happening by chance to make our universe “work” are infinitely small. To play on words, I would say that they are in fact eternally small.

Every day there are new scientific discoveries on the immense magnitude of the universe and the unbelievably intricate workings at the subatomic level. The “laws of nature” that make the entire universe work are the same ones that make these subatomic particles work. “Mother Nature” is the manifestation of God’s spoken work. This, I believe, is a part of the Logos of His Word.

True science requires objectivity. Often that is difficult to achieve. But as I continue to study these things, trying to be “objective,” I see the hand of God everywhere. His design is perfect and so incredibly complex. Our universe IS His work. It was created by His spoken Word. It is a part of His Word.

In an OT Study on Genesis 1, I spent a long time discussing the first 5 words of the Bible: “In the beginning, God Created…” This has to be the very foundation of our faith in God. The when, the why, the how are secondary. Going back to John 1:1, the Son was with God in the beginning. He is a part of the foundation.

So, I don’t fear science as my faith grows. Instead I embrace it. Science to me simply demonstrates the truth of the Word, the Logos of God.

Shalom,
Art
