I keep running across articles like this one and this one that have suddenly started using the word «overweight» as a noun. I always thought «overweight» was a descriptive word, as in «he is overweight» or «overweight people/cats/dogs» but now I am seeing articles that talk about «people with overweight» and «children with overweight» and «adults with overweight.»

This bugs me as a grammar cop. It doesn’t seem grammatically correct to me. What do my fellow grammar police think?
