It depends on the context
Generally speaking…comprehensible=you understand the words being spoken
understandable=you understand what they mean (are trying to say)
But again…you need to provide context

Personally I never say the word comprehensible. Understandable I think is much more in common speech.
some examples:
«What she said is understandable, I would’ve reacted the same way.»
«The lesson was very comprehensible, it wasn’t that hard to follow.»

Latin words (like comprehensible) generally belong to a higher style/register than Old English/Germanic words (like understandable). Therefore, it is only natural that more colloquial words should be used more frequently.
Also, understandable will be a more universal word, so to speak, which means it can be used in a broader range of contexts than comprehensible.

I agree with boozer. ‘Comprehensible’ is unlikely to show up in a sentence about the lesson being easy to follow. ‘Incomprehensible’ is quite common when talking about horrible events (that are so horrible your mind cannot handle them).

‘Understandable’ is used in many contexts, as boozer said. It’s often used when something makes sense emotionally (someone is «understandably annoyed», «their reaction is understandable», «she’s an understanding person», etc.) or for situations where it’s possible to grasp factual information («his writing style is very understandable», «I understand Spanish, but I don’t speak it well», «I understand this math problem», etc.).
‘Comprehensible’ is used more to say that your brain is capable of processing something. Dictionary.com gives (among other things) the following definition: to understand the nature or meaning of; grasp with the mind
