I love you is a powerful word

Good Morning, someone asked in the search term if I love you is a statement , or a dish on a Plate . I would say “I love you are the three most powerful word in universe”.

Why You Should Never Say “I Love You, Too”

I made myself a promise a long time ago. Whenever I was in relationships, whenever I found someone significant enough that I felt comfortable saying “I love you” I would not add the word “too.” My reasons for this are many but mostly because I do not believe the word “too” has any room in relationships, especially when concerning matters of love.

Look at the meaning of too, its root and principles. Too means also. Furthermore. In addition. More so. Too is not a separate clause, it is support for something already existing. Too does not require one to make their own choice or further their life by personal actions but instead is throwing oneself in support of an existing thought.

There is nothing inspiring or original about too. Too is not an action but a reaction. It follows another’s ideas and saps power from their concept. Too is the equivalent of saying ditto. Why would we ever add “too” to “I love you” then?

I love you should be a statement of power. It is something to say to another because it is meant from within the depths of our heart. When we tell someone we love them, it should be organic, brought about because we experience these emotions on a visceral level. Love is a manifestation of feelings we speak because we have lost all other words to describe the intensity we feel in a relationship. A good I love you, spoken at the right moments, compresses all the intimacies of caring for another into a few words that can be said to sum up the deepest feelings of the heart. I love you is often considered the end all phrases for affection. Why cheapen this powerful statement by making it an also?

Saying I love you is the phrase we are add to a relationship to escalate it. It is a natural way of moving things forward. It represents the most profound feelings of affection. We shouldn’t cheapen it. Where we are so hesitant to tell a significant other we love them the first them, no one wants to rush into that, we often seem to forget its profound significance. By the second or third time we say it, we are repeating it back to another, responding to their I love you with a “too” because we allow it to become a routine.

If you want a jump start to your relationship, if you want to do something small but new, stop saying too when saying I love you. If your partner gifts you with those words, respond if you feel compelled but never because it is the expected courtesy. (It is important that if try this experiment, you share this with your partners first so they are not taken by surprise when you don’t just openly repeat “I love you too” every time they say I love you.) Let’s take back the power of this phrase. When someone you love says I love you, react in one of two ways. Say you love them because you do and can feel every part of these words in this moment, not because you are vending machine that dispenses an “I love you too” in exchange for an “I love you.” Or wait. Don’t say I love you in that moment because you do not feel it at that time. Only say I love you when you mean it fully with every visceral part of your heart.

Saying I love you has power. The results can be wonderful once you cut out the obligation of too and focus on only speaking from the heart. Let’s not rob the power of these word by making them a further addition but returning them to an independent declaration.

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Anais Nin

The potion drunk by lovers is prepared by no one but themselves. The potion is the sum of one’s whole existence. Every word spoken in the past accumulated forms and color in the self. What flows through the veins besides blood is the distillation of every act committed, the sediment of all the visions, wishes, dreams, and experiences. All the past emotions converge to tint the skin and flavor the lips, to regulate the pulse and produce crystals in the eyes.
The fascination exerted by one human being over another is not what he emits of his personality at the present instant of encounter but a summation of his entire being which gives off this powerful drug capturing the fancy and attachment.
No moment of charm without long roots in the past, no moment of charm is born on bare soil, a careless accident of beauty, but is the sum of great sorrows, growths, and efforts.
But love, the great narcotic, was the hothouse in which all the selves burst into their fullest bloom … — Anais Nin

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Eve Langlais

With ye, I don’t want your land or money. I don’t need power or prestige. I just want ye. I love ye, Aella. I love it when you’re angry
and outspoken and killing things. I love ye when ye claw my back to
ribbons and scream to wake the dead. I love that ye are not meek or
mild, or willing to let others make your decisions.» «Even if it does
drive you mental and I need to have the last word?» «Because ye do those
things.» «So we’re stuck together forever?» «And ever.» «Seal it with a
kiss?» she asked with a sensuous smile. Her Scot did better than that.
He made short work of their clothes, his powerful hands ripping them
from their bodies while she laughed, a young, girlish sound, carefree
and wanton. — Eve Langlais

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Marissa Meyer

In preparing for this ceremony,» Kai said, setting the bouquet on the mantel behind him, «I did some research and learned that the word Alpha has held many meanings across history. Alpha can refer to the first of something,» said Kai, «or the beginning of everything. It can be attributed to a particularly powerful or charismatic person, or it can signify the dominant leader in a pack of animals, most notably, of course, wolves.» His serious expression tweaked briefly into a teasing smile. «It has meanings in chemistry, physics, and even astronomy, where it describes the brightest star in a constellation. But it seems clear that Ze’ev and Scarlet have created their own definition for the word, and their relationship has given this word a new meaning for all of us. Being an Alpha means that you’ll stand against all adversity to be with your mate. It means accepting each other, both for your strengths and your flaws. It means forging your own path to happiness and to love. — Marissa Meyer

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Brooke Hampton

Kids are tough sometimes. There are moments when I’m so frustrated and don’t feel like we understand each other. When I hit a moment like this and words of aggravation are on the tip of my tongue, this is what I say to myself:
You have been given the unbelievable honor of taking care of and loving the next generation of people. Your work with them is hands down the most important work you’ll ever do. Think about how many people these children will come in contact with in their life time. The messages and love you give them or don’t give them will be your voice in the future. Think about that when you’re aggravated or tired. Every word you speak over them matters. Your voice and the unspoken energy you’re sending them are more powerful than you can possibly imagine. Speak to them as if they are Kings and Queens and you are on stage in front of thousands of people -because that’s how they deserve to be treated.
Give them the best of you. — Brooke Hampton

Love is a four letter word if you speak it or write it down, but it becomes powerful once you feel it and live in it. — The Prolific Penman

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Alain De Botton

The word power typically signifies a capacity for action. The Oxford English Dictionary tells us power lies in an ‘ability to do or effect something or anything, or to act upon a person or thing’. The person who has power may influence the material or social environment, generally on the basis of possessing high-tech weapons, money, oil, superior intelligence or large muscles. In war, I am powerful because I can blow up your city walls or drop bombs on your airfields. In the financial world, I am powerful because I can buy up your shares and invade your markets. In boxing, I am ,ore powerful because my punches outwit and exhaust yours. But in love, this issue appears to depend on a far more passive, negative definition; instead of looking at power as a capacity to do something, one may come to think of it as the capacity to do nothing. — Alain De Botton

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Tim Chester

The Christian community demonstrates the effectiveness of the gospel. We are the living proof that the gospel is not an empty word but a powerful word that takes men and women who are lovers of self and transforms them by grace through the Spirit into people who love God and others. We are the living proof that the death of Jesus was not just a vain expression of God’s love but an effective death that achieved the salvation of a people who now love one another sincerely from a pure — Tim Chester

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Vladimir Putin

Russia is an ancient country with historical, profound traditions and a very powerful moral foundation. And this foundation is a love for the Motherland and patriotism. Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By David Wilcock

We can co-create this change. Spreading the word, learning to treat others with love, acceptance and forgiveness, and bravely stepping up to do our part … it’s all part of the great dance of life. You don’t have to sit back and wait for it. The most powerful gateway to the universe you have is the present. All the work of so many lifetimes is ultimately completed in a single instant — and you can choose whenever that will be. — David Wilcock

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Bill Walton

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By V.C. Andrews

Love, how often that word came up in books over and over again. If you had wealth and health, and beauty and talent … you had nothing if you didn’t have love. Love changed all that was ordinary into something giddy, powerful, drunken, enchanted. — V.C. Andrews

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Neville Goddard

If we do not like what is happening to us, it is a sure sign that we are in need of a change of mental diet. For man, we are told, lives not by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. And having discovered the mouth of God to be the mind of man, a mind which lives on Words or inner talking, we should feed into our minds only loving, noble thoughts. For with Words or inner talking we build our world. Let love’s lordly hand raise your hunger and thirst to all that is noble and of good report, and let your mind starve e’er you raise your hand to a cup love did not fill or a bowl love did not bless. That you may never again have to say, What have I said? What have I done, O All Powerful Human Word? — Neville Goddard

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Bill Walton

He told us that he had made a mistake by leaving the word love out of the Pyramid of Success. And that love is the single most powerful and important word in our language and culture. And until we allow the power of love to supersede the love of power, none of us has any chance of success at all. There — Bill Walton

Love Is A Powerful Word Quotes By Caitlin Moran

The problem with the word «vagina» is that vaginas seem to be just straight-out bad luck. Only a masochist would want one, because only awful things happen to them. Vaginas get torn. Vaginas get «examined.».. No. Let’s clear this up right now — I don’t actually have a vagina. I never have. I, personally, have a cunt. Cunt is a proper, old, historic, strong word, and it doubles up as the most potent swear word in the English language. Yeah. That’s how powerful it is, guys. If I tell you what I’ve got down there, old ladies and clerics might faint. I like how shocked people are when you say «cunt.» Compared to this, the most powerful swear word men have got out of their privates is «dick,» which is frankly vanilla. In a culture where nearly everything female is still seen as squeam-inducing and/or weak — menstruation, menopause, just the sheer, simple act of calling someone «a girl» — I love that «cunt» stands on its own, as the supreme, unvanquishable word. — Caitlin Moran

Love is a powerful word, a word not to be fooled wit

But people always seem to use and abuse it

Lots of people get hurt from that four letter word

But it might lift you up and make you fly like a bird

So loves good and bad in its own special way

Bad cause, it might hurt, good, cause it will never fade away

So I write this for you as my way to say

I love you and im never going away

Words are powerful. They are necessary for communication on the most basic level, but also represent the deepest expression of who we are. How we communicate shapes us as individuals … but what we communicate defines our relationships.

And quite simply, relationships are measured by words. There’s a progression that typically starts with «I want you» and ends with «I love you.»

It seems simple, but there’s a dynamic underneath these words that, surprisingly, often doesn’t serve you or the relationship … and certainly doesn’t go far enough in creating the relationship you really want.

The first major milestone in a new relationship is «I want you.» It’s the first and most basic declaration of desire and attraction. It means that there is some kind of chemistry pulling you together … pheromones on full tilt. And it’s completely in the present.

Immersion therapy, if you will, while you explore your similarities and differences. There isn’t any future commitment beyond «When can I see you next?» Freud would call it a playground for the Id.

And often, you are so immersed in the other person, you don’t even recognize yourself.

Tenor

The next, and some say last, relationship milestone is «I love you.» For most people, «I love you» is the pinnacle of relationship success.

It tells the other person that you’re all in, that you’re committed to them and what comes next — forever.

When first said, «I love you» is a passionate declaration. Three vulnerable words blurted out too soon, too powerful to keep inside anymore, it’s scary and thrilling at the same time. These three words are all about you though, and how you define yourself within this relationship.

You say «I love you» because the things you love about the other person informs who you are. Love is all ego.  And «I love you» is problematic in other ways too.

Love is beyond your control. You fall in love, right? Interesting turn of phrase — falling in love. So, love is at the wheel. It says you’re a willing passenger in that speeding car — even though you can see the cliff up ahead. You’re powerless and at its mercy.

Again, like all those pheromones earlier, love is something that happens to you. Your response is a reaction. And over time, «I love you» loses its power. It loses that intensity.

It either evolves into a deeper knowing and acceptance… or it becomes rote and slowly fades away. So, love is fleeting. You got out of the car at some point and it left you behind. No wonder, since you were never in control of it anyway.

Favim

And what does «I love you» even mean? How do you know you mean the same things when you say «I love you?» The sheer idea of love gets all tangled up in different perspectives and interpretations.

Some people define it as dependence — «You have something I want and don’t have myself.» Or it means control — «I can manipulate you to give me what I need.» And lastly, it is defined as responsibility — «I love you, so I need to demonstrate it by what I do for you.»

Any of those sound familiar? I fell into that last one in my own marriage. Somehow, this subconscious definition of love said that my value in the relationship was completely based on what I did for my husband.

It’s a terrible, powerless place to be when we aren’t valued for who we fundamentally are. And once I realized I had this self-limiting belief, it became really clear that my (now ex) husband shared this twisted definition of love. He too only cared about what I could do for him

Once a relationship gets to «I love you» where does it go from there? For most people, that’s the end of the line. There’s nothing else once they’ve declared their commitment to the unknown future of forever.

And how is that possible when we don’t know what will happen in the future? We aren’t there yet and we can’t make decisions in the unknown. That future commitment is now based on what you know right now.

And to keep that love alive, it always needs to stay within those parameters, which limits its ability to evolve and grow.

I believe in love. I really do. I’ve been blessed to find true love in my own life post-divorce. Love on its own isn’t enough though. It’s not the last milestone in the relationship. Do you want to know why?

There are no milestones. Love is never a destination. It’s a journey that never ends when you put yourself behind the wheel.

The three most powerful words in a relationship are «I choose you.»

These three simple words will change your entire relationship. Why? «I choose you» is here, right now. And in this present moment, you are in your power. You’re not reacting.

You’re not attached to their choice. And you don’t need to control their choice. These words are intimate and vulnerable at the same time.

«I choose you» says «I see you. I value you. I respect you. I want you. I love you. I choose you. I’m committed to you right now.» Right now is when commitment is most important.

There are no future guarantees or limitations. You’re in the driver’s seat. You decide where you want to go at any given moment.

You choose.

If you’re anything like me, there’s a chance you will cross this road if you haven’t already: how do you express love in a way that feels right?

Want to know what all marriage and relationship experts agree on?

Well, not a whole lot.

They’re all constantly fighting with each other and everyone else about the right way to be in a relationship, and the right thing to do, and the right things to say.

But there is no right way to be in a relationship or right word to say to a partner. One person’s “I love you” might be different from yours or mine, or in another language! No “I love you” is better than the next.

But what all experts can agree on is this:

And not everyone wants to hear “I love you” in the same way! Some people are moved by metaphor, some by example, others by beauty or wit (1).

Love has a ton of crazy ways of expressing itself.

Whatever it is, there are million ways people like to hear their partner say ‘I love you’.

Which means you’re in luck, because there’s nothing that keeps the love alive in a relationship like expressing your love and devotion to your partner—it really can make a relationship last forever!

So, if you want to keep your relationship strong and you want variety in the ways you say “I love you,” whether that be a note tucked in his briefcase, a text message, or straight-up
love letter

Sometimes a quote can express love in a way our own words cannot.

It can be hard to make sense of your own feelings when in love—feelings that are usually overwhelming and hard to put into words. But at the same time, your heart can grow heavy if there are no ways to express your love. It can grow heavy with the nagging need to be heard.

And what I mean by being heard is that you want the object of your affection to truly understand the depth of your feelings.

Before we start breaking down any specific words or phrases, one thing to note: saying I love you and making romantic gestures is obviously important to any relationship. But it’s not, I repeat, NOT the be-all-end-all of your relationship.

Focus on the quality of the time your spend with him, and try not to obsess over what he says and what you say. Overthinking and over-analyzing how you say “I love you” might actually blur the sentiment you’re trying to express.

Sometimes you can say “I love you” by pushing him up against a wall and “making love” to him (see what I did there?). There’s a reason we always see this kind of moment in movies—it’s effective, and usually works! Words are not the only tools we have to say “I love you”; men actually feel love more with a physical expression. Remember: there are many languages of love. Men happen to speak the best in body language.

Holding his hand or looking into his eyes are good starting points for showing love in a way that he might respond to better than most ways of saying “I love you.”

Let yourself express your love for him in a way that feels natural. If something feels natural, it will come across in a way that he can intuit. What better way to communicate something naturally than with good old-fashioned body language.
Though it’s important to establish a natural way of expressing your love for him, be sure it’s never forced. Trying to “force” a romantic exchange between you and him will set you up for disappointment.

And speaking of disappointment, a key point to always remember is this: don’t look for him to respond in a certain way. Have no problem with how he responds. Listen to him and be fully engaged in each passing moment. Love is not something that can be concretely defined. Love just is.

romantic ways to say I love you

How do you express love in words?

Celebrate his dreams and his passions. Talk about how he specifically makes you feel vs. the love you feel for him.

How do you express love to someone?

You can express love to someone with words, actions, or physical affection. For example, you can leave him a little love note in his briefcase, or you can throw him up against a wall when he gets home from work.

How can I express my love without saying I love you?

Be a good listener. Show up for him. Saying “I love you” is the easy part. Learning to love the person you’ve said it to is even harder.

How do you tell someone you love them without saying the words?

Use body language. Hold your gaze at him for 10 seconds longer, make sure to graze his hand whenever possible. Point your body in his direction and start taking note of how bodies interact with each other.

Perhaps the most powerful three words known, “I love you” is a phrase that carries with it a lot of meaning.

So what if your guy constantly says it? Is it because he loves you that much, or is it something else?

Let’s talk about what it means when he says it constantly, and how to tell if he’s being genuine, or if he’s manipulating you.

11 things it could mean

1) He wants to remind you

There are any number of countless reasons why your man is constantly telling you he loves you, ranging from sinister to sweet. Let’s start with one of the most benign.

He just wants to remind you and make sure you know you’re loved. I personally express my love and affection quite frequently, and for some it might come as a big change from a previous relationship.

In that way, then, they might wonder why I’m saying it so much, perhaps even worry. But I don’t mean anything by it, except the inherent meaning of those iconic three words.

The same could hold true for your man. He might genuinely feel the need to tell you, as a reminder of his undying love for you.

Here’s a great article to help you figure out if he’s making love to you, or if he’s just having sex.

2) He really enjoys being close to you

It could be that your man really enjoys being close to you. That closeness inspires him to verbalize his feelings.

He also knows that when you hear him express his love for you, you find it endearing. In that way, he’ll be able to be closer to you, which is something that makes him supremely happy.

How close is he to you? Is he affectionate in other ways, too? If it seems like he’s overflowing with affection for you in more ways than one, it’s likely he’s all about being close to you.

3) He could be insecure

All of us have certain insecurities, whether about small things or big things. These insecurities can be about our bodies, physical attributes, or emotional insecurities.

It’s these latter types of insecurity that can cause relationship issues, and it could be a reason why he’s constantly telling you that he loves you.

His perpetual need to vocalize his love for you could be a kind of cry for validation. He feels insecure, unsure, and unable to vocalize those insecurities appropriately.

So, he compensates by constantly telling you that he loves you. Here are some more signs that an insecure man in love will show.

4) He doubts your love

On the other hand, it could be that he’s doubting how much you love him, and therefore constantly telling you that he loves you to elicit a response.

Whether it’s a way to “give you a hint”, or a way to get you to say it more, he doubts your love.

Does he seem skeptical about other facets of your devotion? Is he overly jealous, or perhaps overly curious to pry into your personal life?

If so, it could be that he doubts your love for him. Again, that could tie into insecurities. It could be that he’s sensing a natural change in the relationship, or something more legitimate.

In any case, if there’s a constant, unending stream of “I love you’s”, it could mean that he doubts your love.

In a one-sided relationship? Here are the brutal signs that you are, and what to do about it.

5) He thinks you’re wonderful

In this article, I’ll often bounce back and forth from potentially negative reasons to positive reasons why your guy is constantly telling you he loves you.

Therefore, then, let’s talk about how smitten he could be with you. When I fall in love, I fall deep into love. Every facet, feature, and character quirk makes me fall ever deeper.

What comes next is an inability to keep my mouth shut. I have to express my affection because I think this person is endlessly wonderful. I suppose it might be a bit overwhelming for my partner, but it’s just how I express my love.

It could be the same for your man. He might just think you’re wonderful, so much so that he has to constantly tell you he loves you.

In fact, it could be that you’re soulmates. Here’s a look at a bunch more signs you are soulmates.

6) He has really strong feelings for you

Along the lines of the last point, it could be that your man is having really strong feelings for you. Or that those strong feelings are catching him completely off guard.

It may just be that his head’s all in a whorl, the depth of his feelings for you is really catching him by surprise.

In his giddiness, he may not even realize just how much he’s telling you that he loves you, or that he’s constantly saying it.

Maybe you find it a little bit annoying, but also endearing. Don’t rain on his parade, he’s completely infatuated with you.

His strong feelings for you inspire him to gawk over you, use pet names, tell you he loves you, call you pretty, cute, or all of the above.

If you’ve ever wondered what exactly it means when a guy calls you “cute”, here’s a great article that details just what might be going through his head.

7) He’s not sure how to express himself

Sometimes guys aren’t the best at putting their feelings and emotions into words. Indeed, communicating with women, in general, can be difficult for men.

It can be hard at times to even understand what we’re feeling for ourselves, let alone find a way to convey that to someone else.

The same holds true for positive emotions, as well. He could be struggling to exactly express the depth of his love and loyalty, so the way he does it is by saying he loves you…constantly.

Or, maybe he’s having reservations, or working through negative emotions, things like fear. He could be afraid to lose you. He could be afraid of change but senses a need for it.

So, in an effort to quell his fear, he overcompensates and tells you he loves you…constantly.

8) The relationship is changing

Like everything in our universe, nothing is static. The same holds true for relationships.

They’re kind of their own living, breathing being. They change, adapt, grow, develop, and sometimes die. It’s the way things happen in this world; change is honestly beautiful.

Therefore, your relationship might be changing. Shifting, growing, evolving. This might scare your man—often men are resistant to change.

And besides, his feelings are strong for you, and it’s always scary when those definitions, boundaries, and dynamics change.

Whether desperation, fear or doubt, the changes in your relationship may inspire him to constantly tell you he loves you.

It could be that he’s taking things more seriously now, and he’s ready to take things to the next level. He’s sure of his feelings, they’ve grown strong, and he’s eager to spend longer with you.

That could be a big reason why he’s constantly telling you he loves you.

9) It could point to something else

There’s the possibility that when he constantly tells you he loves you, he doesn’t mean “I love you” at all.

It could be pointing to something else entirely. He could be hiding something, he could be feeling guilty for doing something he knows would make you upset.

It could be cheating, or it could be something less serious. In any case, he’s using extra affection to “butter you up” or just to distract you from his guilty conscience.

Pay attention to his other mannerisms and actions. Does he seem paranoid, or distant in other ways?

These kinds of dichotomies will clue you into whether or not he means he loves you, or if it’s pointing to something else.

Here’s an interesting look at some key signs to look out for if your partner is having an emotional affair.

10) He could have an ulterior motive

Along the same lines, he could be sending you a constant stream of “I love you’s” in an effort to get something from you that he wants. He could be hiding something from you that he wants to cover over.

He could be using his charm and the emotional effect those words have on you to manipulate the way you feel about him, about the relationship, and so on.

Once he has you in his pocket, he can start to manipulate you in other ways. And then, while he manipulates you, he’s likely to keep love bombing you in this way.

It’s a common tactic of manipulators and narcissists. In other words, it’s pretty evil. Here’s a great article to help you spot evil people and how to deal with them.

So does he actually mean it?

One of the big question marks raised when a guy is constantly saying he loves you is whether or not he means it.

Is he being genuine?

It’s a good question to ask yourself; deciphering whether or not it’s true can be remarkably important. Why?

Well, as I mentioned in a couple of points, it could be that he’s using the phrase as a way to manipulate you, get what he wants, or cover something up.

But, let’s talk about some ways to decipher if he’s being genuine.

One of the first things to look out for is his actions. It’s easy to tell someone you love them all the time, more difficult to show it.

What’s that age-old phrase? Actions speak louder than words.

Definitely an overused platitude — however, it has a lot of relevance. If he’s genuine, he’ll be expressing his love more than just verbally. It’ll be clear in all the ways he treats you — with tenderness, kindness, and acts of love.

Maybe he takes you out frequently or gives you little gifts. There’s any number of ways that your guy will express his love for you if he truly means it.

Another great way to decipher if he’s being genuine about it is to quiz him when he says it.

How?

Well, let’s say he tells you he loves you. You can respond by asking him to explain himself. This tactic can get frustrating if you overuse it, it can come across as if you’re skeptical of him and perhaps overly insecure yourself.

However, it can give you a good gauge of the depth of his feelings. It’s easy to say “I love you,” but more difficult to explain what exactly inspired him to say it.

Ask him what he loves most about you. A simple “Why?” can give you a good gauge on how sincere he is.

If he’s being genuine, he’ll maybe stutter a bit, but soon start gushing about all the reasons why he loves you so much.

On the flip side, though, if he’s not genuine, he’ll brush off the question, give a simple answer without much thought, or something similar.

Is he being manipulative?

This question is important to ask, too. Especially if he exhibits any of the negative signs we discussed earlier in the article.

Naturally, it’s not fair to accuse your boyfriend of being manipulative preemptively. However, if you have reason to worry, you have reason to keep a sharp eye out for more signs of manipulation.

An important thing to remember when you’ve begun to surmise you’re in an unhealthy relationship with someone who is manipulative is to take your time.

Don’t rush things, jump down his throat, or confront him immediately. Not only will it lead to a bad outcome, it could be dangerous for you and your safety.

Manipulative love-bombing can be an insidious tactic used by an abusive partner to keep the wool over your eyes and to ultimately control you in as many ways as possible.

Pay close attention to when he tells you that he loves you. For someone who’s using love-bombing as a tactic, he’ll say it at very specific times.

It could be right after he asks you to do something for him, or when he tries to convince you your friends are unhealthy for you.

Anything that might raise a red flag and be seen as manipulative or controlling, he’s going to couch it in sweet words and loving sentiments, in the hopes you won’t notice.

But you’ve got a sharp eye out for these things. Don’t let his manipulative love-bombing control you.

Your significant other should make you feel safe and loved in a variety of ways, not just one exclusive way.

Look out for those disparities. Pay attention to how he really treats you — his actions and behavior, his attitude towards you. Does he call out your character and criticize you all the time, just to quickly follow by telling you how much he loves you?

All of these are big red flags that you’re dealing with someone who’s using your love and devotion as a way to manipulate you and control you.

The takeaway

There could be countless reasons why a guy is constantly telling you I love you; it could mean a wide variety of things.

Whether it’s because he has really strong feelings for you, doesn’t know how to adequately express himself, or has something else on his mind, there’s a good chance that he really does mean it.

On the flip side, there is the chance that he’s hiding something from you, or trying to avoid a conflict. Don’t be afraid to pick his brain about it if you’re worried about it.

If the constant stream of “I love you’s” makes you uncomfortable, discuss it frankly with him.

If he really does love you as much as he says he does, he’ll be willing to listen to you and come to a compromise.

On the other hand, there’s the chance that he’s using love-bombing as a tactic to control and manipulate you.

This can be hard to spot, but there will be a marked difference between the way he treats you and the way he says he treats you and feels about you.

In other words, he’ll be critical, demanding, controlling, and mean — but he’ll couch it in sweet loving words, constantly telling you he loves you.

Keep a sharp eye out for it, but don’t react in an extreme way, it won’t end well.

This is just by the way
There might be many challenges on the way
Together we will overcome them

I know we have the strength to carry on
Once we are through the storm
We will be strong
Everything will get back to normal

Believe me, my love
Hold tight
Do not give up
You are my strength

We will be stronger
Nothing will ever break us
Let them talk
We know where our future lies

You are not alone
I am here with you
I will give you a shoulder
Together we will emerge victoriously.
