Last week there was so much rain that I was not able to go out. He knows a little, but the little he knows – he knows well. He is a man of a few words. My dear I’m afraid I have not much news to convey, but still there are many things I should like to add. Little is spoken about it, but many believe it. The forces were unequal, they were many we were few. My engagements were few and I was glad to accept the invitation. We shan’t all get into the car. We are one too many. He was so happily absorbed into building of his house that events outside it affected him little. He has very little knowledge of the matter. There isn’t much harm in it. Much was said but little done. I suggested that he should get a few plums and some bread. At the bar a few men were discussing coming elections in loud barking tones. I have so many thing to do that I don’t know which to do first. Aunt Florrie had much money while none of the other family has inherited as much as a pound. Very few people know about it. My sister spends so much money on her clothes that she has none left for holidays. I began to miss London: it was not so much that I had many close friends there, for I have many friends, but I missed variety. Tom has eaten so much that he can’t move. Say a little and do much. Adeline had slept little last night and she had a headache. She was glad to see me because I was English and she knew many English people. He knew he was not a good teacher, and he intended to do little of that. Many heard about the book, but a few read it. Nowadays he was very busy and he saw little of his old friends. Virginia returned to England at the moment when many were leaving it.
