Friendship in Different Languages: The importance of friendships is universally recognized throughout all cultures. A healthy relationship plays a vital role in human development and adjustment for a lifetime. If you have had a friend for years, or they are a relatively recent acquaintance, you have a close relationship with them. It could be a new friend you made at work or school, or perhaps someone you bond with over a favorite sport or TV show. It does not matter how much time you spend together with your best friend to maintain your relationship. Many of your best friends may be far away from you for a long time. It feels as if nothing has changed between you and them once you get in touch.
