Hi,
Before we go further, I would like to confirm whether you are using a 32-bit version of Excel 2010 or 64-bit version of Excel 2010. If you convert an Excel file that
was created in Excel 2007 32-bit to Excel 2010 64-bit, the problem may occur.
If this is not the situation, let’s continue.
Based on my research, this issue may occur as Excel 2010 cannot find the directory of the ESQuotes2.dll file. We can try to resolve this issue by reinstalling the
ESQuotes program or copy ESQuotes.dll file to directory where Excel.exe is stored.
So, we can try the following methods:
Method 1: Copy ESQuotes.dll file to directory where Excel.exe is stored.
=============
By default, Excel.exe is stored in this path: C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice14. Please go to the folder c:HVESQuotes2, locate the file ESQuotes2.dll, and
then copy it to the folder: C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice14.
Then, check the issue again. If the problem persists, try Method 2.
Method 2: Reinstall ESQuotes
==============
You can try to uninstall the ESQuotes program from Add/Remove Programs list, and then reboot the computer and reinstall the program.
Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for
you, please feel free to let me know.

Hey everyone, I’m completely in over my head and could use some pointers.
I’m trying to use an Excel file for a thermodynamic software called REFPROP. The excel file is supposed to use a DLL file from said software to return state values for different fluids, however the worksheet cannot verify the DLL file location. When attempts are made to reload the file the cell that verifies the DLL version number instead gives a #VALUE! error as seen in the first picture of the linked album. I assumed this meant that the excel file just wasn’t sure where the DLL file was located, so I added the developer tab to the tool bar and opened up the code. This is where I get lost. As the second picture shows, the developer expected that this may be an issue and suggests renaming instances of Public Declare PtrSafe Sub REFPROPdll Lib "REFPRP64.DLL"
(picture 2) with something like Public Declare PtrSafe Sub REFPROPdll Lib "C:Program Files (x86)MINI-REFPROPREFPROP.DLL"
to specify the file path, which I did. However, even though I replaced "REFPROP64.DLL"
with "C:Program Files (x86)MINI-REFPROPREFPROP.DLL"
, the DLL file location, the excel worksheet still returns a #VALUE! error.
The developer note at the top of the code mentions that alternatively, you can specify the DLL path as an environment variable, but I genuinely have no clue where to add that in the code. Can anyone point me in the right direction for solving this issue? I can post the excel file that has the VBA code if that would be more helpful than my screen shots and description of the problem.

I am currently trying to add control to a Power Analyzer in an excel tool. The company provides USB drivers and the appropriate modules and DLLs. I added the DLLs to the System32 folder to ensure they were read in the path. After importing the modules and trying to run the program, I get the error «File Not Found». I then tried to hard code the location of the DLL and I received the same error.
I’ve looked around the internet and the only issue I could find was possibly a dependency missing from the DLL. An example of the line I’m trying to use is:
Declare Function TmSend Lib "tmctl.dll" (ByVal id As Long, ByVal msg As String) As Long
This line is apart of the module provided by the manufacturer. Is there something I’m missing to get this to work? I want to make sure before I contact the manufacturer.
EDIT:
It appears that the manufacturer uploaded a corrupt DLL causing the issue to arise. When checking the file with Dependency Walker, it failed to even read the DLL.
Hello,
Since the beginning of this year, I have had one particular xlsm wb crash out, with the
«Cannot Find Project or Library» error. It has happened about 3 times, sometimes going weeks without issue.
Running Office 365 (past two years) on Windows 10 (for a few years now). These are on the machine by way of upgrades.
The crashing xlsm file has a lot of code, ands was created in 2013 and has has zero problems until now. File size is 6.9mb and aside from this issue runs perfectly fine.
As per the often suggested solution to go into VBE > Tools > References and uncheck MISSING items — I cannot do this; the References Dialog will not pop up.
In the past 3 days the incidences have escalated.
1) The file (xlsm File 1) has crashed twice in as many days. Each time I have to rebuild by a laborious process of copying, moving sheets, reassigning macros, etc into a backup copy of the file where the VBE library is still there and working.
2) Yesterday, another xlsm file crashed. This one (xlsm File 2) is 1.5mb, created a year ago and based on a template created in 2010 that is used annually without any issues. My rebuilt (xlsm file 1) happened to be open at the time
and was NOT affected.. This one (xlsm file 2) has a lot sheets, It will be a huge task to ‘rebuild it»
3) Today, another xlsm file crashed. This one (xlsm File 3) is 3.9 mb, created in 2010 and has worked faultlessly. Another completely different xlsm file was open at the same time and was not affected.
This one has a MANY sheets, It will be a huge task to ‘rebuild it»
Please help, I am at a complete loss and this is crippling my ability to work with Excel files I have worked with for years and creating a very unstable environment. I feel like my whole Excel stable is about to come down around my ears.
TBH, I have not been at all happy with Excel since getting Office 365, Lots of little issues — but nothing like this major one.
Cheers, and thanks for all help and suggestions.
