Любой язык состоит не только из существительных, глаголов, прилагательных, наречий, но и числительных.Их учат с самых первых дней занятий на интенсивных курсах английского языка онлайн и очно. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten… Казалось бы, всё так просто. Но далее начинаются года. С 11 до 21 веков приходится произносить парами цифр: 1917 – nineteen seventeen, дальше круче: 1905 – nineteen oh five. А в первом десятилетии 21 века уже читаем иначе: 2005 – two thousand five. А как читать 1900? 1800s? Дальше придётся иметь дело с «нулевыми» 00s. .Кроме годов есть ещё дроби, проценты (в английском мы говорим “percent” без «s»), степени.
Также множественное число отсутствует в конкретных сотнях, тысячах, миллионах, что имеет место быть в русском. И немало бывает затруднительных комбинаций с цифрами. И ведь, как назло, словари подсказывают, как пишутся слова, начинающиеся на буквы. Где же взять словарь, где в алфавитном порядке были бы «цифровые» слова. Как правильно сказать «агент 007», «двухтысячные», «2 в квадрате»? Ну, вот и хочется сказать: Есть такой словарь, он перед вами. Он подскажет, что в современном литературном английском языке порядковое числительное от 21 будет twenty-first, а не twenty-oneth. Научит читать большие числа короткой шкалы, цены. Напомнит, что в слове «forty» нет буквы «u», в «ninth» отсутствует «e», в «eighteen» только одна «t».

Cardinal numbers refer to the size of a group. In English, these words are numerals. The numbers from 0 through 9 have the same names as in decimal but numbers greater than 9, there is no agreed upon name for units.

The word lev for E is not advised as lev is a root in SDN and would cause confusion e.g. levqua = 10;E but lev levqua could mean either 10;EE or E 10;E

If a number is in the range 11; to EE;, and the second digit is not zero, you typically write the number in words separated by a hyphen.

For example, the simplest alkane is CH4 monane (methane), and the nine-carbon (sexium) alkane CH3(CH2)7CH3 is named nonane. They are named with a Greek numeric prefix.
Cyclic alkanes are simply prefixed with «cyclo-«: for example, C4H8 is cyclotetrane (cyclobutane) (not to be confused with tetrane (butene)) and C6H10 is cyclohexane (not to be confused with hexene).
Branched alkanes are named as a straight-chain alkane with attached alkyl groups (monyl- (methyl-), dyl- (ethyl-), tryl- (propyl-), tetryl- (butyl-), …). They are prefixed with a number indicating the carbon (sexium) the group is attached to, counting from the end of the alkane chain. For example, (CH3)2CHCH3, commonly known as isobutane (isotetrane), is treated as a propane chain with a methyl group bonded to the middle (2) carbon (sexium), and given the systematic name 2-methylpropane (2-monyltrane). However, although the name 2-methylpropane (2-monyltrane) could be used, it is easier and more logical to call it simply methylpropane (monyltrane) – the methyl group could not possibly occur on any of the other carbon (sexium) atoms (that would lengthen the chain and result in butane (tetrane), not propane (trane)) and therefore the use of the number «2» is unnecessary.
If there is ambiguity in the position of the substituent, depending on which end of the alkane chain is counted as «1», then numbering is chosen so that the smaller number is used. For example, (CH3)2CHCH2CH3 (isopentane) is named 2-methylbutane (2-monyltetraane), not 3-methylbutane (3-monyltetraane).
If there are multiple side-branches of the same size alkyl group, their positions are separated by commas and the group prefixed with di-, tri-, tetra-, etc., depending on the number of branches. For example, C(CH3)4 (neopentane) is named 2,2-dimonypropane (2,2-dimethylpropane). If there are different groups, the order is (…, tetryl- (butyl-), tryl- (propyl-), dyl- (ethyl-), monyl- (methyl-)), separated by commas or hyphens. The longest possible main alkane chain is used; therefore 3-dyl-4-monylhexane (3-ethyl-4-methylhexane) instead of 2,3-didylpentane (2,3-diethylpentane), even though these describe equivalent structures. The di-, tri- etc. prefixes are ignored for the purpose of ordering of side chains (e.g. 3-dyl-2,4-dimonylpentane (3-ethyl-2,4-dimethylpentane), not 2,4-dimonyl-3-dylpentane (2,4-dimethyl-3-ethylpentane)).
Alkenes are named for their parent alkane chain with the suffix «-ene» and an infixed number indicating the position of the carbon (sexium) with the lower number for each double bond in the chain: CH2=CHCH2CH3 is tetr-1-ene (but-1-ene).
Multiple double bonds take the form -diene, -triene, etc., with the size prefix of the chain taking an extra «a»: CH2=CHCH=CH2 is tetra-1,3-diene (buta-1,3-diene). Simple cis and trans isomers may be indicated with a prefixed cis- or trans-: cis-but-2-ene, trans-but-2-ene. However, cis- and trans- are relative descriptors. It is IUPAC convention to describe all alkenes using absolute descriptors of Z- (same side) and E- (opposite) with the Cahn–Ingold–Prelog priority rules.
Alkynes are named using the same system, with the suffix «-yne» indicating a triple bond: dyne (ethyne) (acetylene), tryne (propyne) (methylacetylene).
In Haloalkanes and Haloarenes (R-X), Halogen functional groups are prefixed with the bonding position and take the form of nono- (fluoro-), unquino- (chloro-), bielo- (bromo-), quadquino- (iodo-), etc., depending on the halogen. Multiple groups are diunquino- (dichloro-), triunquino (trichloro)-, tetraunquino (tetrachloro-) etc. (use Latin numeric prefix for the atomic number, and use Greek numeric prefix for the multiple group, to not be confused), if there are different groups, the order is by atomic number (from large to small), separated by commas or hyphens. For example, CHCl3 (chloroform) is trichloromethane. The anesthetic Halothane (CF3CHBrCl) is 2-bromo-2-chloro-1,1,1-trifluoroethane.
Alcohols (R-OH) take the suffix «-ol» with an infix numerical bonding position: CH3CH2CH2OH is tran-1-ol (propan-1-ol). The suffixes -diol, -triol, -tetraol, etc., are used for multiple -OH groups: Ethylene glycol CH2OHCH2OH is diane-1,2-diol (ethane-1,2-diol).
