Merriam-Webster unabridged
The adjective artistic describes people who are creative or creations called «art.» While you might not consider the sculptor Oldenburg’s inflatable toilet as «art,» recreating something ordinary in a unique way is very artistic.
Artistic often describes something pleasing to look at, but you don’t have to like everything called artistic. If you make paintings, clay figures, or computer drawings, you’re being artistic, because you’re creating works of art. If you’re creative in a less structured way — say, you arrange everything on your desk by shape and color so it looks nice and you enjoy doing it — that’s artistic too. It may not always be «art,» but it’s still artistic creation.

PRONUNCIATION OF ARTISTIC
GRAMMATICAL CATEGORY OF ARTISTIC
Artistic is an adjective.
The adjective is the word that accompanies the noun to determine or qualify it.
WHAT DOES ARTISTIC MEAN IN ENGLISH?
Art
Art is a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities; this article focuses primarily on the visual arts, which includes the creation of images or objects in fields including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and other visual media. Architecture is often included as one of the visual arts; however, like the decorative arts, it involves the creation of objects where the practical considerations of use are essential—in a way that they usually are not in a painting, for example. Music, theatre, film, dance, and other performing arts, as well as literature and other media such as interactive media, are included in a broader definition of art or the arts. Until the 17th century, art referred to any skill or mastery and was not differentiated from crafts or sciences. In modern usage after the 17th century, where aesthetic considerations are paramount, the fine arts are separated and distinguished from acquired skills in general, such as the decorative or applied arts. Art may be characterized in terms of mimesis, expression, communication of emotion, or other qualities.
Definition of artistic in the English dictionary
The first definition of artistic in the dictionary is of or characteristic of art or artists. Other definition of artistic is performed, made, or arranged decoratively and tastefully; aesthetically pleasing. Artistic is also appreciative of and sensitive to beauty in art.

artistic
Art is a diverse range of human activity, and resulting product, that involves creative or imaginative talent expressive of technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas. There is no generally agreed definition of what constitutes art, and its interpretation has varied greatly throughout history and across cultures. In the Western tradition, the three classical branches of visual art are painting, sculpture, and architecture. Theatre, dance, and other performing arts, as well as literature, music, film and other media such as interactive media, are included in a broader definition of the arts. Until the 17th century, art referred to any skill or mastery and was not differentiated from crafts or sciences. In modern usage after the 17th century, where aesthetic considerations are paramount, the fine arts are separated and distinguished from acquired skills in general, such as the decorative or applied arts.
The nature of art and related concepts, such as creativity and interpretation, are explored in a branch of philosophy known as aesthetics. The resulting artworks are studied in the professional fields of art criticism and the history of art.
