Inspiration and Motivation, undoubtedly increases effectiveness and efficiency. Thus it is far more essential for the young minds of the nation than anybody else to help them DREAM BIG, AIM HIGH for improvements, innovations and inventions, which can be possible by strong positive thought, acquisition of creative/inventive ideas and its execution according to strategic plan of action for the peace, progress and prosperity of self and society. Can is…Power not only advocates the same, but also covers all aspects of personal growth — spiritual, emotional, physical, mental, and inspires to make a successful career to build a meaningful life. Needless to say, it is equally useful for average to excelling students, as well as their custodians/well wishers. This book, for self-analysis, improvement and success, with hundreds of inspirational quotes and hints of stories of different event makers, from different countries — past and present — to expand the databank, will surely induce success thinking for better personal life, yielding to greater national living.

While the influence of Western-based Management and Success Gurus is discernible in most books published on these subjects, “ Can is the word of Power “ is clearly the product of the writer’s unique experiences and beliefs. The author analyses the ingredients… The first step is to decide that we “ CAN “. We decide that we CAN become healthier, richer, more successful, make, discover, or invent something useful, create a work of art, have a happy family, achieve academic success, serve others, etc. Achievers throughout history, the writer notes, be they Mahatma Gandhi, Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, Dale Carnegie, Columbus, Edison, Fleming, the Taj Mahal, or the scientists behind the Space Missions, had one aspect in common – they fervently believed in their ability to achieve their aims – they had absolute faith in the implications of the word – CAN. ..Once we decide that we CAN, we must decide – HOW? The quotation from Fr James Keller seems to be the essence of the message of the readable book— «It is better to light a candle, than to curse the darkness.»

CRITICAL COMMENT :
“A HOME WITHOUT BOOKS IS A BODY WITHOUT SOUL”
Books have a crucial impact and a special significance in one’s life. This book is full of knowledge and wisdom. The effective use of metaphors and similes enchant the reader. It is a mixture of realism, humour (sometimes) and it brings in a strong desire to change. Realism is intricately woven with many examples and techniques. It channelizes the youth to accomplish something worthwhile as the quality of the nation depends upon its young ignited minds. This book helps in the emotional, spiritual, mental development of a person. It can be considered for self-improvement, self-analysis with self emphasis. There are stories which attract a large part of a young audience. It consists of self-affirmations which help to make use of the sub-conscious mind. This book has received appreciations on a large scale ranging till the president of India and foreign dignitaries.
“THE JOURNEY OF THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH A SINGLE STEP”
Coming to the end I feel that books are none less than a chest full of treasure. However, it becomes essential to understand and implement the things quoted down in the book to bring colourful changes in our lives. It is suggested that this book would be a better option for initial readers.
“A READER LIVES A THOUSAND LIVES(life) BEFORE HE DIES BUT THE MAN WHO NEVER READS LIVES ONLY ONE”
