How to use «Not bad» in context?

If you’re looking for a word to describe my day, it wasn’t bad. Granted, it wasn’t stellar, but it was okay. I had my ups and downs, just like everyone else, but on the whole I found my footing. I managed to accomplish what I set out to do and there were no major catastrophes. In short, it was a basic, run-of-the-mill day.

But, could it have been better? Absolutely. I could have gotten more done and I would have been happier with the results. But, as it is, I’m not too bothered by it.
