Give Out

Give Away?

Give away —

Our prices are so cheap we’re practically giving away everything in our store! —

This maharajah is so rich, he gives away rubies instead of money.

Сравните: They gave out free chewing gum on the street. — Они раздавали на улице бесплатную жвачку;

I don’t like to give out advice. —

The teacher gave out the exam papers. –

Hand Out.

Can you give the drinks out, please? = Can you hand the drinks out, please?

The radio gave out that the meeting between Putin and Macron was neutral.

My car always   acts up   in cold weather. –

My car always   gives out   in cold weather. –
